Hi All,
I am returning to play with my friend on horde (previously alliance).
I want to play a healer, will be doing 2s with my friend and want to pug 3s.
My understanding is HPal and MW are strong currently, is there anything to consider when deciding between them?
Any advice or information much appreciated! 
MW is simple and OP, so it’s your best bet lol.

What is your friend playing ? If you want to play mainly with him its good idea to pick spec around that. Balance can change
Hpala has been good (top 2/3 healer) for basically the entire of BFA.
MW has been the best healer in BFA twice - first it was nerfed after erm a month or so and this time, well its hard to know yet if the nerf was enough but seems its probably still the best.
If you’re focusing on 2s though, depends what your friend plays
He is playing several classes. DH/Lock/Mage.
I imagine he’ll mostly play DH and Lock.
However I also want to be competitive when pug healing 3s. I’ll probably be doing them 50/50 in terms of time.
Pala is very cd based healer i was overhelmed at first there are many cds you have to trade properly. Mw in other hand is easy af. Only thing you should practice is this channel canceling stuff which is not hard( if its still a thing )
Which is better in 2s or equal?
Any ideas if they are much different in m+/raids, as I’ll need that to gear.
Gonna keep it short and simple for you. If you were in a car crash, and tragically had brain damage, you’d succeed far and beyond currently has MW Monk in PvP and PvE over Holy Paladin.
Holy paladin is extremely CD based, and if you mess up, or come across the wrong comp, you might as well afk.
I’m getting the impression for everyone that MW is more suitable. Sounds a lot simpler and if I plan to play with PuGs, it’ll be a lot more forgiving.
As Pally sounds very CD orientated, which is fine (and probably fun) with a consistent comp but sounds like it’d be easy to overlap a lot with Pugs.
If you’re mainly going to play with destro/dh in 2s. I’d say resto druid. Offensive playstyle with feral affinity is a ton of fun. Every healer is viable. Sure MW is easier rating but it’s boring af. Druid is weaker but really fun. Paladin might be a good balance in between the two.
