Okay, as much as I’m up there with insulting the woke gang let me just point out punk rockers have been dying their hair these colours for decades and it’s been the same in anime as well.

IIRC, the reason anime characters have wild hair colors was to be able to tell them apart.

They often fit well with the color pallet in anime/cartoons.
This is exactly what I wanted to also point out but you beat me to it. Punk hair colors had existed long before the social media crybullies were born.

No idea. I mean now we’ve moved away from the idea of racial cultures and over into completely character autonomy, and that’s going to cause some insanity here or there. There really is no clearly defined limit anymore.
So… While we’re at it, I should be able to dye my fur a sickly pink.
I mean, it is hair, right? Dye should work.

Modern “Blizzard” is really trying hard to turn Warcraft into a complete joke.

I remember Blizzard developers talking about how originally Metzen was very adamant that only male Night Elves could be Druids…until he had to yield that stance for the sake of gameplay.
And over the years WoW has relaxed more and more of its original tropes and restrictions that in many ways defined its look and lore. Much of the authenticity of WoW has been traded for a broader degree of freedom for the developers to do whatever they want.
And these days Blizzard seems to just let it rip, favoring diversity and identity and customization over lore and history and Metzen’s mind and authority.
I think it’s a bit sad, but it always seemed like a losing battle, even from the beginning. Now Blizzard are just cutting loose their last inhibitions. May as well flow with it, I suppose. It’ll inevitably give us Gnome Druids in the end.

I wish they would update the old colors too. Most of them look lije a faded washedout version, of what they were supposed to be.
