That’s another phenomenal example of their priorities not being straight. So we can get weird hair colours but we can’t literally look like Khadgar or Antonidas.
Pls?

That was my point
I know it was - I just wanted to add to it by pointing out that there are NPC’s in the lore that are humans with long beards, making it doubly ridiculous.
VOID ELVES & BLOOD ELVES Should REALLY get that pink hair colour! Please Blizzard!
I don’t like those, either.
99% of the time people dying their hair these colours are just rebels. They want to reject normality, conservative principles, and decency (whatever decency means in that particular culture up to that point - note this doesn’t mean that they’re unkind) and forge a new path.
It’s usually a phase that lasts from about 15 years of age to 30. Some of their things stick into the next generation, most of them do not.
My problem with this sort of stuff is it’s taking something that’s distinctly not human in Warcraft lore and makes it human. It’s ignoring the cultures of the game.
Realistically, when I see someone on the tram with some very unnatural hair color, I normally interpret it as cosplay. Young (soul), having fun.
On the long term, it’s a bit weird. Maybe we’ll get used to it, maybe not. Like the super light blonde hair by ravers in the 1990s, or pitch black hair by deep-dark rock fans.
Sometimes it’s an expression of the person not feeling well in their body and going to the extreme to change it, be it a funny hair, massive ear or nose implants, or virtually anything else. While cosplayers will feel natural, funny and happy, this group may still feel a bit stressed out, I can’t express it better. Similar to have certain political groups in my country, they talk, you can sense the tension, everything nonverbal is just repulsive. Those inconvenient people will bring tension to our office, so.
Same with the attention seeker version.
And then I have just invented hair colorism - they are either not serious, or problematic. Which I didn’t mean but when taken too seriously, it’s like all those isms. The PC word about that would be unprofessional. Then it translates back to gaming.
You don’t need to be cute to have bright coloured hair…
Though I admit Zarya doesn’t quite look like herself in the second link I provided… She usually look a bit grumpy…
I also like the light blue hair color !
My apologies, but in my head I have associated neon colored hair with cute things.
At least in fiction. In real life it is complicated.
Sadly no orange
Well, it is easy to think of the asian super cute girls with the very bright hair colours. I am sure you’ll get used to it once you see more characters like Zarya or Junkerqueen.
we can finally roleplay as a californian in wow. THANKS BLIZZARD!
Have a good one man.
Hmm…wait a minute.
This could just be an error from wowhead but did anyone notice the Hairstyle on the green skin orcs? Is that not Mag’har hairstyle? Are the green skin orcs getting Mag’har hairstyles?
If so then yay.
There are other sliders, that I would prefer
Looks like the Twitter integration from WoD got yet another unneeded update.
Dont be so daft. The first people doin blue and pink were grannies in the 60’s 70’s the old blue/pink rinse hair dye. Then punks started late 70’s Punk still lurks around 90’s 20’s throw backs to punk. So hair colouring is nothing new. Go back to the beginning of last century and the peroxide blondes etc. all old hat.
Yeah that’s my point it’s a common thing
Good lord what is that?!
Will you take a look at this crap, all we ever wanted was long beards
