So we have a new interface option called " Text Scale" , reading it I was so exited that they finally added an option to modify text size , for people who play on large far away screens / have vision issues .
… But of course the option is completely useless .
It increases the size of the text in the who interface a handful of popus .
Like WHY?!
You would think that in the first place they would increase the text size of the actual place where the most text is in WOW , aka QUEST TEXT , but of course no .
I understand you guys think that no-one reads quest text and everyone plays the queue simulator and spams dungeons 24/7 , but if you take the time to create quest text at all , can you at least consider that someone might want to read it ?

Please enhance the option to also enlarge quest text …

Have you tried it without addons?
Have you even tried it , before asking me to try it without addon ?
The description is literally “Adjust the display size for most dialogs , some social menus like Who , Quick Join and add Friend as well as Text-to-Speech options”
It does not affect quest text.
It does not affect combat log.
It does not affect your character name and map options .
Hell It doesn’t even affect the text of it’s own interface option lol .
It affects stuff you wont even see 90% of the time .

Isn’t all of this affected buy UI scale? It’s been in the game for two decades.
The UI Scale is limited to 115% and affects mostly the boxes . The text gets progressively smaller compared to the boxes , the higher your screen size is .
On my tv the quest text is barely readable , even at 115% scale .
Not to mention if you have eye problems .
People are forced to use addons to increase text size , but these were broken a few patches ago too .
No, I ask because 99/100 people don’t bother trying without addons, and then addons break base UI functionality and Blizzard has to deal with those reports.
Hence I’m asking you, did you try without addons? Because addons like ElvUI can change the fonts and may not take the new scaling into account.
I need to give it a test and see. It is however one of the accessibility things that Blizzard has been far behind other MMO’s that had such options. LOTRO has it, ESO has it, FFXIV has it, Wildstar had it. But this is me not knowing how it works so gonna test that now…
Just checked without a single mod enabled and nope, that setting does nothing to the UI text size at all. Not even changing the colour of said text does anything so, not sure now. Then again there was no apply button just select size and close which was done but it didn’t change anything at all.
