DPS is always going to have problems with finding groups. DPS are playing a massively oversaturated role and there’s just not anywhere close to enough tanks or healers for every group to be able to be started within a reasonable amount of time. A lot of groups disband before they get a tank or healer.
you think of it like dps would apply to all the keys . you will see more people but you won’t see a thousand people if it gets automatically eliminated. if it gets out of hand automation can be limited to apply to a certain amount of keys at any time. you guys really underestimate what technology and automation can do.
but yea, no need to argue since everything i say gets rejected immediately lol
Like I said
You just have to accept we will not agree.
yeah it’s impossible to make you believe that automated system can do more than that
A couple of us have explained the flaws which you ignore. You won’t even acknowlege the issues they would cause.
Let it go already.
yeah it’s always others that are wrong ,let’s all keep making sure the game stays as it is so it can die faster
Some of us understand constructive criticism. It’s not some personal vendetta.
Making changes to a game that make things worse are not an improvement for the playerbase. Making it so people can’t get into keys at all is not going to make the playerbase grow.
I’m a popular class for M+ but this would put me up against every paladin EU looking for a key at the same time. Plus every other dps class.
You feel it’s a great solution. I think it’s a detrimental one.
It’s a difference of opinion and completely different experiences in game.
if we go back to op’s post, i support this if anyone at the company cares about feedback. it’s not sustainable to keep the current lfg tool with the amount of active players , manual or automated applications are necessary so people can do other things while they wait . right now, an average dps (if they’re not a meta class with high rating) has to wait for around 20 mins to get an invite and since most of the groups gets disbanded, they have to do the application process all over again. so at the end of the day an average m+ player gets only a few keys timed in a day even if they play for hours. which makes the experience a miserable one so people go and do other things or play other games , as we’ve seen in the last week, many people ditched wow the moment diablo came out. many others(including myself) already stopped trying to do m+ and do other stuff instead because it simple is not fun for the majority right now.
But how would they get “automatically eliminated”?
Like, you don’t even need a specific group comp until you go higher keys. You could go something like 1 prot paladin, 3 retris and 1 holy paladin and be able to do a 20 just fine. Likewise, you could go 1 guardian druid, 1 resto druid, 3 dps druids that are balance or feral and do a 20 just fine as well.
you put a filter too not just the applicant, the bot matches people up according to both sides limits. if u don’t care about the class and doing a low key then you don’t determine some of criterias so you see many people and choose randomly like you said since it doesn’t matter. i’m talking about an automation that gets entries from both sides.
… Did you miss the fact that I posted that pretty much everyone that applied to my key are, at a glance, qualified to do it?
How would a filter address this? I really don’t get it. There’s just way too many DPS. You don’t seem to understand just how massively oversaturated the DPS role actually is.
and i asked you how you decide which one to invite ? by which logic , do you check every single one to see if they have the bis items ? if not, then i’m pretty sure automated system can do it too but even if it shows you 100 eligible people to invite, i still don’t get why it would be a bad thing. it won’t be thousands of eligible on high keys let’s not kid ourselves you yourself told me that only 700 chars were doing 23+ yesterday.
i am that dps so i get it i just don’t get why’re you against it
I’m not talking about this from a high key perspective. They already struggle with getting people due to difference in times that people are active in the game combined with the low amount of people that play those key levels.
I’m talking about it from a general perspective, where you don’t struggle with finding people in general, the bottleneck is the massive amount of DPS vs the amount of tanks/healers.
Just to put some perspective on the distribution of the roles:
There’s some 180k healers that have been picked up as healers by the raider.io page in the European region and some 170k tanks, this is across all key levels.
There’s 500k DPS, this is across all key levels.
My meager 2.2k~ rating pins me at rank 29000~ as a healer in the European region.
A tank with a similar rating is at rank 58000~ as a tank in the European region.
A DPS with the same rating as me is at rank 180000 in the European region.
If I list a key at prime time with the system you’ve proposed, I am going to get absolutely swamped by DPS. Like, it’s going to be a ridiculous amount listed.
i am aware of the fact that there are way too many dps players like i said, that’s the main issue and not having enough active players in general. i can see that you’re telling me the lead can see 150 eligible dps on a +16 key but as you said before, you don’t need a specific comp to do the key anyway , you just pick from that list , you said that you can pick 3 rets and wouldn’t matter so why would u care about seeing many people in that list , it can even be helpful to have many options. i wouldn’t mind that for my key. i would add a filter to less since i have the option .
if u really think that there would be thousands of dps at any time on any keyts list, then all i can say is , i wish this game was that populated
Because this is a thing:
Decision paralysis is a common challenge that can result from the combination of being overloaded with options, increasing workloads, added daily stressors, and the natural human desire to make the best choices and offer only our best work.
It already becomes troublesome picking people with a group created today, it would be even worse when you can see just about everyone rather than those specifically applying to the group.
but you will have the option to filther through it so you won’t have to see that thousand like if u want mage then filter mages there you go , 5 people .
You’re not understanding the criticism of the proposed system, like, at all.
okaay guys #nochanges #letsallsuffer
Good freaking luck getting into any key as a DPS then unless youre meta and geared to the teeth. Its already bad enough as a DPS but at least you can get in sometimes due to the “wrong” people signing. But with such a list you will never get into any group unless the aforementioned criteria are met.
i can agree with this one, it’s impossible to satisfy a big portion of players in this game they don’t want to progress, just to get soft-boosts
