Hey guys, am very new to mage and I looked in the normal places for help. But am kinda suck. I find Arcane Mage really confusing and tbh I really suck xD I have been playing frost and like it alot, but I get the fealing from what I seen on youtube its kinda meh, and fire is just in the gutter.

Is it better to play what am enjoying or try and learn Arcane Mage and suffer though the learning curve?

Saphirama, you should play what makes it fun for you. Nothing else matters in the end!
I have played this game for 18 years and played allmost every class but allways come back to mage and paladin - only those 2 classes that makes my fun here. 
Its true what Agiel says that there are many fun classes but still you have to start somewhere and make some 1st choice, and mage isnt a bad start.
Its a fun class and you can do just about everything in game, solo playing, good spot in raids, pve or pvp …
Frost is also pretty easy to play and perform good. You can also try different play-styles such as focusing around buff and use instant ice-lance playstyle or go with a more “normal” mage rotation with building up for heavy Ice Spikes. Both works in pve and pvp.
Arcane is pretty hard to handle good and not forgiven if miss procs and build up your dmg and Fire doing bad at the moment - but I still belive / hope it will catch up cause I still feel that Fire mage are one of the most fun specc to play. 
My last tip is to start focus on one class and one specc and slowly learn to handle that. Watch some guides on youtube or similar and you soon figure it all out. Follow that idea I started with: Simply do what makes this game fun for you, not what others tell you are fun.
