I reported some and did get mail from Blizzard in game saying action was taken.

I guess it takes time. It could be they looked into those you reported and found they were not breaking any rules.

What I saw was 100% botting. No human is able to click all at the same time on the root so fast unless you have a contraption on your computer with 5+ pc towers linked together mechanically.
And like that for weeks and no break!
SL started ore cost 20g each and 3 days before raids they cost 6g right now

Did you check them on the armory also to see if they had the enchant for faster gathering? That on top of being a Tauren can make it a lot faster too. With window swap they can do it pretty fast.

Problem with the multiboxing in its core is the fact that everyone wants to mbox these days only for sake of farming gold,not for challenge of boxing dungeons/trying to do raids etc bythemselves.
And given the power of computers and availability of software the bfa boxing exploded to the margin of so many people boxing for gold that it has literally had people farming tons of gold and botting to make insane amount of gold.
I useed to box at early bfa but then i swapped to tri box and in end i swapped to dual box (manually) just to level and do dailes at same time (limited time) which i do by manual swapping.
I am kinda happy they nuked boxing (the software part) and i hope they nuke it even more ( not manual dual box or more)…

That’s what I did it for over 13 and a half years. I’m okay with not doing it anymore but it does make me angry that people can still continue to exploit the economy - something I had always been against.

Here’s an action Blizzard could take without actually touching multiboxers at all. 3 easy steps:
- Get rid of multi spawn nodes
- Drastically reduce the number of herbs/ore needed for pots and flasks
3)Dramatically increase the number of spawn nodes
That would solve at least 50% or more of the gold farming issues and give everyone a fair chance. You will never stop multiboxing but you can make the gaming conditions such that its advantages are drastically reduced. But Blizzard wouldn’t want to do something that will reduce their income when they can give the appearance of doing something, however ineffectual.

I love the way that Guild Wars 2 handles it’s auction house and the way materials work.
There low level materials are still used in higher level things like crafting in the Mystic Forge or making your own legendary.
It keeps materials from all level zones relevant, and with the buy order system you have an option to sell your items right away if you are happy with the offer price.
GW2 has personal nodes… I think this could work well in WoW.

It’s no automation, it’s a windows accessibility feature. The software doesn’t do anything with mouse than turn on (or off) the windows feature
What makes it compliant is that it purely help manages (place on screen and swap if requested through it’s own key, not snooping on game keys like other) your 2+ Wow windows without doing any sending or snooping on keystrokes sent to the game. It’s a non broadcasting verifiable safe software that doesn’t require Admin or anything risky.

There is no “automatic action” here, the function just reads the current value of a windows feature.

Except nothing in WowOpenBox has any kind of software broadcasting or automation - unlike some other closed source solutions it’s easy for blizzard or anyone to see it’s not doing anything nefarious
The code quoted is reading a setting from windows to set the checkbox to the current value…
WowOpenBox has no “input hook” either
