Given the still ongoing problems with AMD GPUs in WoW, i would not recommend getting one even if the value is betterš
Just for context the video linked in my response is a glitch that been happening since BFA on NVIDIA gpuās with dx12 unless you clear shader cache before startup, i would rather avoid this game right now and not make decision based on this game, cos its gonna get worse as long Blizzard ignores their problems.
AMD having issues with their drivers or graphical issues on rdna3
while NVIDIA has their melting 16 pin, buying an gpu from current gen i would not even consider worth it may be better off buying used for cheap if neccesary or if its just wow just quit wow, cos its probably just wow anyway.
The shadow flickering has been fixed since DF prepatch at least.
Not really an issue if you use proper cables and make sure the pins are fully plugged in.
Thatās your opinion. I am enjoying the game, but then again, iām team green
That flickering issue has existed since bfa and come back every single expansion and is the ultimate proof game has shader issues
There is no such thing as DDR4 being outdated. Especially when 5800X3D/5700X3D still going very strong vs the current generation from AMD and Intel.
Still, other specs like the GPU and SSD are low.
If it fits the budget then it will be excellent
Ok let me rephrase it for you:
It is stupid to buy a DDR4 Motherboard for a 12K CPU if you can get DDR5 instead
We are talking strictly Intel here but i just want to add that the X3D CPUs are not that RAM sensitive as the non X3D or the Intels.
And yes i love my 5800X3D but if i were to buy new now, i would go for AM5 with a 7800X3D or 7600 for budget to have a upgrading path
For 12400F or even some K SKUs? Not really as itās a value option, not future/best performance at higher prices. If someone goes for top K models then maybe but at that point we have newer Intel generations. Like if you arenāt going for top cooling, top motherboard to handle an OC K-series CPU then something is wrong
And when it comes to AMD if someone doesnāt need a new PC ānowā then itās probably best to wait for Zen 5 which is a bigger change and 9800X3D will probably be on a completely new level.
