New player . Can I get gear for different specialization in dungeon?

Pretty new player .just started playing the game 2 days ago .also first mmorpg for me .so my question was :
I am currently playing retribution paladin .I am finding it a little bit less stressed in dungeons as compared to holy paladins for healing . While doing dungeons ,can i also get gear for holy paladins while playing as ret paladin ?
I was thinking about going into arena and battlegrounds as holy paladin as I find it easy and fun to heal people in them ?
Any suggestions or other ways to approach it will be very much appreciated .

right click on your name frame in the top left corner > set loot specialization

yes, as anneconda said, you can change your loot specialization by right clicking on your portrait.

remmber though that it does not work for conduits, you’ll ned to properly swap spec to prioritizze conduits of that spec.

I see .so if I am going in as holy paladins I will need to swap conduits for that particular spec and revert back to retribution pala when I am playing that ?

Well yes, but that’s not what Kayleen said. Just forget about it - I don’t think there is a single dungeon boss that drops multiple conduits for any class. Some raid bosses do, but I am not sure the whole loot vs. active spec distinction matters there, rather than only for the upgrade tokens.

Conduits are for level 60. There’s no need to give them any thought now.

well, to minmax, every spec has optimized specific conduit setups with different soulbinds, so you might want to swap those around when you change spec, IF you are doing hard content where you need every edge you can get.

EDIT: oh sorry i didn’t think you were not already capped, discard what i said, it’s irrelevant atm.

I would set up separate soulbinds for healing and dps, that way you don’t have to burn through conduit currency.

I see .thx
