Don’t let the forums get to you, is my advice; they can be useful, 100%. At the same time, they can contain far more than the RDA of Drama and bile, which no one needs in their life with the world the way it is right now
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes; anyone reasonable will be more than happy to discuss and give pointers or encourage. Which, in a way, helps weed out those who can be overbearing or mean, too!
Have fun, is ‘rule’ 1, really remember that it’s a collaborative effort with other players, but don’t sacrifice your enjoyment for others all the time.
Hi Cremia, big welcome - it genuinely is always nice to see somebody new be willing to try out roleplay and see what it’s all about. You’ll soon find out that it’s extremely epic + it may even reel you in big time
I’d give some advice, but I think the majority of people here have given you a good bit already & provided some useful add-ons to make your roleplaying experience better, so I’ll just take a brief moment to mirror the sentiments of a few others who have commented already:
Goldshire is a pretty bad place filled with a lot of people that wilfully break the ToS (primarily because of painfully lax moderation - please get the memo already, Blizzard ) through engaging in explicit interactions with one another, so it’s definitely best if you steer clear of the place. Your main hub for roleplay will probably end up being Stormwind, but people do definitely roleplay in other areas (I’ve personally seen folk in Darkshire, Lakeshire, etc, but there’s small hubs all over the place). When you feel ready and comfortable enough to do so, I really do wholeheartedly recommend a roleplaying guild; it makes the experience all the better, and I can safely say that from a member’s perspective and a GM’s perspective
All in all, I really do hope you enjoy the server for what it is, Cremia
Just want to say thank you again for all the kindness. An RP guild does sound like a good place to start meeting players. How would people recommend finding and joining the right one for me?
She’s quite obsessed still with developing her shadow magic. I imagine there are certain seasoned warlocks out there that she could learn from, and I assume these types of individuals would know one another quite well.
Would love to help since I do have a seasoned warlock, but again… Hes an orc.
Edit: And not sure there are any guild that focus on dark magic on Ally side, thou would be cool if it was.
