New player saying hello

New RP-er here just saying hello. It would be great if anyone experienced in RP wants to join me in Azeroth and show me the ropes.

For context I’m a WoW Classic player with a lot of free time to kill and wanted to dip my toes into RP for the first time. BFA seemed like it would be more appropriate and more fun. I’m not very experienced with retail at all so would greatly appreciate any adventurers who want to come say hello to Cremia the Warlock on Argent Dawn.

I already really enjoyed meeting some pleasant players in Goldshire and will shortly be heading to Westfall.

I’ve made a character sheet that I can share a link to as well.

Peace <3

This is very concerning, stay away from Goldshire, nothing but creeps there.

Lmao. I just kind of tried to ignore the creeps which was easy enough when you’re having fun. Shout-outs to Horiluun the Shaman and Domzhuon the Monk for keeping it real while hordes of half-dressed people and giant terrifying mounts surrounded us.

Best way to do it is not standing among them.

But welcome to Argent Dawn and maybe see ya soon, thou I’m mostly found on horde these days.

Yooo welcome aboard, be sure to get the TRP3 addon to set up an in-game character profile, and see those of others!
Hope you find the kinda person you need.

Thanks for the tip. Will get that addon sorted shortly!

I’ll also recommend UnlimitedChatMessages, which does exactly what you probably think, and CrossRP, which lets you see the TRPs of members of the opposing faction (if they also have CrossRP). Might not be relevant to you immediately or even soon, but eventually you’ll likely find yourself running into RPers of the other faction.

To speak with them you can obtain the Elixir of Tongues, but I’m sure you’ll get to that eventually.

Adding on to TRP; don’t feel like you have to fill every box. First name, last name and basic appearence is fine.

I’m just taking a look at TRP now. Will probably take me a while to get used to it but seems awesome.

The only word of advice I can think of is to keep the ‘glances’ succinct. There’s nothing more terrifying than hovering over what is meant to be a brief description of someone’s appearance only to be met with three paragraphs of text D:

Just giving notice of the roleplaying guide that’s a sticky on the forum, it’s a good start :slightly_smiling_face: (and do keep away from goldshire)

Welcome to Argent Dawn! Don’t associate with people in Goldshire. Have fun!

Thank you everyone for all the kind words. <3

TRP 3 is so cool! I will be staying away from Goldshire now lol. Is there a way to make a macro to toggle walk/run or can it only be set in the keybindings screen? Thanks.

I’m not sure what you mean but it’s just to press the keybind to toggle it, what did you mean the macro would do? :stuck_out_tongue:

Just that by having it as a macro I can just have it be clickable on my actionbars or easily drag/drop to a different keybind. No worries though.

Ah… can’t help with that sorry :relieved:

I do not think this is possible to do. Tried to google the WoW API and see whether you can do anything with the fancy script macros, and the conclusion was that the ToggleRun() function cannot be called by player-made scripts. You’ll have to stick to the keybind, it seems. :frowning:

Hello Cremia,

Welcome to Argent Dawn.
