Which professions can people recommend for leveling and endgame late in the expansion in general but also specifically for my priest.
I read the state of professions isn’t so good and most guides were made 4-6 months ago, so thats why i made this topic. Should i even bother leveling any professions or is it not worthwhile?
Lastly which profession is fun, was thinking of a gathering professions and a crafting one:
herb + alch
or tailoring/ enchanting?
Kind of depends. Do you want to make gold or to just get slight benefits? For raiding alchemy has always been great since your flasks last for 2 hours instead of 1, and engineering for example has a bunch of fun toys/gadgets that do have real usage as well (nitro boosts, goblin gliders on cloak, bres, etc).
For easy raw gold making, get a gathering profession. Mining, herbs, skinning. If you want synergies, pair this with a good crafting profession that fits (herbs - alchemy, mining - engineering/blacksmith, skinning - leathermaking). Herbs and alchemy is what I’d recommend starting with if gold is your motive. I’d typically avoid gear crafting professions when starting out due to them not being that useful.
PS: you can consider stuff like enchanting as well. Not an useless profession for endgame by any means. Also engineering is probably the most fun profession.
Myself personally I always choose Engineering plus one other, usually the relevant armour profession for the class, so my Druid main is Engineering and Leatherworking but I would level with the corresponding gathering proffs so in my Druids case mining and skinning.
My thoughts, everything from alchemy, enchanting, inscription, jewelcrafting (potions, enchants, glyphs, contracts, gems e.t.c can be bought on the AH - armour to an extent but if you like transmog and want to collect every different look, being able to make it yourself will save you so much time.
Engineering just has so many gadgets (and most fun in my opinion) that are invaluable but require engineering to use.
