Imo, dungeon queing for new / inexperienced players should be seperate, with veteran players being able to chime in and join them, for 5 times the amount of experience at the condition of taking it slow and teaching others.
I know it sounds absurd, but imo, instead of trying to fix the mess, I’d rather if blizzard went like okay, we’ll give you experience to make up for not going at a fast pace if you join new/inexperienced groups at the condition that you actually go at a slow pace and be helpful / teach them.
And new/inexperienced players get to vote on the veteran after the dungeon, which would result in them either getting the bonus xp or not, and if they’ll be allowed to continue in these kinds of groups or not, for example if a player gets voted for being toxic too much, they’ll be banned from chiming in new/inexperienced player groups for an amount of time ( increases progressively )
I think this would make it much better for both sides of the equation.

your not learning if you dont wipe
To be fair I actually think it’s more beneficial for new players to encounter these tougher mechanics earlier.
Albeit a curved experience would be nice, but alas they pick up new content mechanics quicker, what to look for, what to do. All helps when it comes to end game!
I can understand peoples fear of being kicked or being insulted. Ive been kicked out of dungeons for the most stupid reasons. 1 was shes a demon hunter and does too much dps. My friend got kicked out for trying to teach the tank how to tank since he’s our main tank in raiding and this person was literally killing us.
Still i do recommend to be brave and just being honest. Most of us arent toxic jerks and wont mind telling what you need to do. Even if you are kicked or insulted just ignore those people block them and move along. It sucks but they are luckily still a minority

You want to split up playerbase even more?..
You know hjow bad that is for games, right?
It’s not bad for the game in this particular instance, in fact if anything its healthier and a better choice.
Look at it like this, the player base is already split and being forced together which is making HUGE problems across the board already.
We all see the usual complaints about GOGO mentality players, new vs old and new players being treated like dirt, this just helps create a big rift between them, but if there was a way to find common grounds, ( making it appealing for experienced players to go at the inexperienced one’s pace ) then it is actually better.
there is no rison beeing level 50 now when exemaple level 10s cna get like ilvl 36 for spamming ilands u do so muth damage as level 10 nowdays
The few bad apples must ruin it for others then because thjts what it essentially. So, yes, it is very bad wether you want me to loook at it differently or not.
Blizzard should not cater to these few bad apples that kick someone in -regular- dungeans.
Besides, if these experienced players are wanting to level, they have the option to make premade anyway and rush all they want. Its not that hard to do right and it would be a far better solution for those few bad apples you want to make a whole new mode for…
Yeah of course, I know that, I am one of those people who like to help even with a somewhat limited knowledge, I’m actually trying to get my “3000 Quests” achievement done so I can enroll on the Guide Mentor System.
Back in the private server I used to play, me and a buddy made a guild with the main focus on helping newbies get a hang of the ropes.
what is Guide Mentor System ?
Just because you’re new doesn’t mean you’re incapable of learning or thinking constructively. It’s ok to wipe a few times on your first time in a dungeon.
You’ll also likely be playing with people who know what to do and they can teach you.
I’d rather fun but a few wipes over brain dead easy with barely any notable mechanics.
You’re not qualified to give a new players perspective as a veteran either.
Dire Maul should get removed from the Dungeon Finder. Those dungeons are so badly designed.
The big problem is that when u try to explain either they do not respond or do they jump like a fish on dry land into a pack of mobs (yes under the time when u are typing the tactics). At least should there be a cap of 1 totally fresh char/group or something ;p just so they can feel the fun and smoothness from progressing character.
only 2 classes is safe in dungons are Hunters and Rogues …
Hunter can simple play dead and rogue can Vanish and watch all rest wipe …
Shaman and warlocks can self ress
DKs and druid can comabat ress to watch same dude die twice …
a paladin can bubble and play god for like 30 sec and he/she dies aswell …
Yes and no with the revamp even DM throws at you mechanics that don’t exist that early anywhere else.
They would need to make new dungeons just for teaching/hand holding imo.
Indeed! Since the game have changed so much since vanilla should they focus on how to improve the gameplay for fresh players. In vanilla did we all chat and talked about tactics and when to use what spell, now a day do players think that you are a freak if you talk in chat ;D a beginners guide that is longer and more comprehensive should be good for new adventures. Now u get to “many” spells at once and they don’t know what to do with them.
one thing i dont understand why pvp gear needs level 35 should be level 15 …
Atal and the boss where you need to nuke those 3 totems down is a nightmare with newbies
