New Players in WoW | TOXIC

See, the original post got flagged. All these systems will be misused and are therefore useless.

Really? I think the world is getting better and better. Used to be we Europeans would point nuclear weapons at each other and before that we turned half the continent to ashes. All because of different believes. Now we just fight each other on social networks.

The upward trend of humanity after the wars stopped when enough people forgot about what really bad things are like so they started inventing up new problems in order to balance out their too comfortable lives.

ā€œOh X word is offending me, so companies must censor it!ā€
ā€œOh 80s and 90s cartoons are too risque so they have to look like kids in their remakesā€
ā€œThis show/game aimed at teens is too risque for teens even though actual teens are already into 18+ , we must think of the children who are not childrenā€

I donā€™t know.

I recently levelled yet another warrior and tanking through dungeons I only had one rough experience.

Most were new players to which I thoroughly enjoyed the slower pace through dungeons, a fair few we even all sat down and drank/ate whilst we had a chat for five minutes or so.

Donā€™t get me wrong definitely some toxic players but the majority Iā€™ve encountered just want to chill out.

This is the result of LFG tool, because people KNOW they have extreme low chances to meet the same individuals again and therefore their true colors are shown : aka being jerks.

Back in Vanilla/TBC/Wotlk you didnā€™t have those issues due to server reputation, which meant something back then.

Now, itā€™s easy maximum consumption single player mode while not even having a minimum of decency. Saying ā€œHiā€ at the start is like asking a lot for some folks.

Itā€™s terrible and I really canā€™t imagine a new player going through the ooga booga gogogo rush. Not only it gives a bad vibe, but you lose the sense of immersion and community.

No wonder they are struggling to retain young audiences and new players.

Well yea most all people are toxic forum treads are blown proportion exponentially.

There are definitely lots of toxic douchebags in wow but i would say that its just loud A-hole minority that acts like immature children which is kind of sad when you consider that the average age of wow players is quite high.

All online games nowadays have group finders or match makers, most of them even automatic and not this gatekeeper system WoW has. Lots of young people play those. So itā€™s probably something else.

Is it though? Iā€™m still terrified of using LFR/LFDā€¦ Especially now Iā€™ve come back after a year and have forgotten what most of my spells do.

Every mmo has toxic people, I guess it comes with the territory.
I am relatively new to the game and only did 3 Legion dungeons (because MQ made me do them lol). I expected the worst, e.g. to be kicked the moment I write ā€œIā€™m first time hereā€, but most of the people didnā€™t care, they didnā€™t say anything, though in both groups there was one person who was super nice and friendly and showed me the way when I got lost, etc.

Apparently it is flagged because of the half-censored F word. I find that very odd, but I guess there is no wiggle room even for thisā€¦

Nah, he is flagged because people reported him there are no two ways around that.

Why they did is another thing all together.

The forums are for players of the age of 12+ also there is no need to swear at all anyway when posting it is just being polite and having manners .

Wow is a dying game, and soon will be dead. I hope blizzard as a company as well. it is not good, they do not care for balance, they even do not develop some new features, talanets or anything else. Just prune and get it back over time.

I hope when blizz emplyee or their children get sick, to get the same quality of service in the hospital

Sure it is dying, it is dying since it been released.

Hopefully you will enjoy couple hour ques in SL release.
