New Players realm

I thought New Players realms were supposed to be the least populated ones, less than Low realms.
I compared the waiting time in timewalking dungeon with the most populated ones as DPS. They have the same waiting time :x

wtf?!

Because automated group services are region wide… or would you rather wait 3 hours to get a dungeon group going on an isolated low pop realm?

All realms are connected in same form… the AH stackables like Mats are region wide, non-stack items like gear, pets and toys are related to your list of connected realms.

No realm is completely isolated.

That is even more shocking. Not that many plays the game then :o

What’s “shocking”? Nothing worse than a new player entering a dead realm…

We are not realm limited in LFD

Problem is this:

Play tank or healer if you want fast queue times.

Could be that is the problem as well.

It ain’t a game problem it’s a player created problem… every Jack, Dick, Henry and your Grand Ma wants to play DPS…

The reason why people prefer playing dps could indeed be a game problem, because playing tank especially is much harder and low fun experience.

I just tested more low populated servers, and I met the same player from another realm regardless of which server I joined, low and high populated :stuck_out_tongue:

All servers are connecte?
Game is dead?

You’re just trolling now…

Didn’t this page years ago have Silvermoon on top with over 200.000 players?

Another thing to keep in mind regarding long queue times is that you dont automatically get a spot in front of the line. Long queues could mean that the game is having a hard time finding players, or it could mean that there is a lot of people in line in front of you. It can go both ways.

Realm population is a thing of the past and only still exist due to technical limitations on the server side. Players are mixed and matched from all kinds of servers both in queues instances and open world. The servers are layered and sharded to prevent overpopulation in hotspot areas.

The 2nd post in the thread tells you LFG is region based

never had that amount , i do not think a realm can handle 200,000 accounts

Not simultaneously logged in. But it can handle the data of that many characters created for sure.

Anyway, let’s say that even a million players are online at the time of you queueing. You do realise the amount of things people can do in wow that are ever-increasing, including over 11 different dungeon queues you cannot join simultaneously? The problem is not that players aren’t playing. It’s that there’s so much content in the game that finding a non-endgame group, especially as a dps will just be time consuming.

As if it is a fact?
If it is then there is a lack of players to shorten down the queue.

I see people trying to explain away why LFG takes 10 minutes to wait as DPS.
I see dead game.

One reason is that I ended up seeing the same tank.

Tank and healer shortage and you picked xmas season when people are away and yes LFGD is region wide has been since last patch WOTLK its all in the blizzard blue posts if you cared to look.

Until you look it up please stop trolling thanks.

Regionwide means EU, all of the realms in EU is connected together in LFG.

Thats exactly what it means so what is your problem ? that you have to wait 10mins for a dungeon as dps ? well its always even back in wotlk been between 5-10mins so suck it up unless you want to role tank or healer as a paladin.

You can also try to requeue from inside the dungeon because some will be down to keep going. Worth a shot. And you’ll wait less if it happens. Could make a friend or two if you’re nice too :dracthyr_shrug:
