New profession is not good!

The new talent system is quite nice. But kinda got destroyed from the start.

The first day or first week of DF, the Beta/PTR testers knew, you could farm “dirt” over and over and get Rep + profession points. So they did.

Some people had on week 2, over 170+ points in one of their professions. Did blizzard remove it? no.

This means that the people who did all this, are earning a very large amount of gold because they have so many talent points.

Right now, you can get 7 talent points a week, it will take forever for us regular joes, to get to the same point as they are.

as casual players, professions are useless, almost. No work orders, or something we can’t craft (too much renown or recipes we can’t afford… hello lariat at 8 000 000 gold…)
SO, all we have, it’s consumables. But only rank 3, because if not, you sell your craft lower than the components… well done Blizzard XD

I like new professions system and orders, first time ever i actualy use professions for somethink more then combat perks or 2h flasks

They nerfed dragon shards of knowledge from disturbed dirt. I’m digging every treasure I see and in a couple of days when I started I didnt saw even a single shard so getting prof knowledge from treasures is no more.

Very glad you like it mate.

For myself, I loathe the new system and for the first time in 18 years I won’t be touching crafting with a long pole, having maxed many professions in each expansion.
To be honest, the reason I don’t like the new system is because I don’t understand it.
Like, at all.

Of course, I should probably go and read all the litterature about the topic but I can’t be arsed, it’s not fun nor rewarding, back to the drawing board I say, nothing to salvage in this garbage.

Again, more power to those who like it.

I was really excited for the idea of this new profession system, but I was almost sure, it’s gonna be screwed one way or another. And man, did it deliver. I tried to level enchanting but was not trying to rush it and apparantly it is useless now. How is it possible to compete with someone who has 170+ knowledge points? All r1 and r2 enchants are selling at a MAJOR loss because the system is desgined around inspiration procs meaning that market will be flooded with r2 making them worthless. And now because of that, I can’t even level to 100 in a foreseeable future without spending at least a million of gold which is a lot of money for me.

And on top of that, I can’t even switch my subspec until I am at 100, so now I am stuck with insghts of the blue as 2nd spec which is essentially worthless for the path I am taking. And yes, the subspec can’t be changed.

Overall, I don’t remember being more disappointed with wow mechanics in a long time. The fact that artisan mettle to knowledge shuffle through dropping professions was even alowed resulting in 170+ points in first two weeks while we’re stuck here with 7+ points per week increase timegate is such a joke.

Oh yeah and the crafting orders system with 0 public orders is so much fun too…

You learn quickly that if you do not follow a guide on the internet, you get F’d in the A really quick.

Hello fellow scammed enchanter. Seems you and I have the same spec, and are stuck in the same grid-lock of:

  1. Can’t make a profit on anything I can craft because too low skill to craft quality 3.
  2. Can’t get more skill because its locked behind an locked sub-spec.
  3. Can’t unlock said sub-spec because I’m not 100/100 skill.
  4. Can’t skill up to 100/100 because the only recipe with skill-up cost to much and I sell it at a MASSIVE gold loss because of point 1).

Broken. That you cant even reallocate your knowledge after dropping and relearning the prof is just the icing on the cake. I think i have just forever made enchanting (and jewelcrafting by a very similar situation) PERMANENTLY USELESS on my main character. Which is a nice feature in a profession-focused expansion.

Thank you, could not have said it better. Exactly what I am experiencing with my enchanting. It feels like in a profession-focused expansion they could have put a bit more thought to balancing said professions.

so true and well explained. I like crafting, but i’m a casual player (full time work + 1 children XD), but i spend some time to farm and craft, but now it’s impossible. You have to be really rich at the beginning to monopolize the AH, or you have to spend all day to farm the AH, with addons of course… it’s stupid.
I think i’m gonna play FF14 to have a real crafting system that’s working

Eng is the best of all proffesion …
