New Races for WoW List them here (:

I don’t see, how elves/humans can be in one faction with trolls, or orcs be in one faction with humans.
They need to change it to where there are many separate factions and you can build rep with each one, the way Khadgar or Thrall are universally accepted, but if you do certain quest chains for one faction such as BFA war campaign or kill members of another faction, your reputation can drop untill kill on sight
It will make it into where PvErs can “work together to defeat the lich king” and PvPers can do their world PvP quests by sniping both orcs and elves

They should add a 3rd faction = neutral , 2 factions looks lame , some games have even 5 , it doesn’t make sense 2 looks so limited .

Current factions are anti-lore bs

I would split it into

  1. Undead of Undercity
  2. Scourge
  3. Trolls (zandalari top dog)
  4. Orcs+Dark spear+taurens
  5. Goblins
  6. Night elves
  7. Other elves
  8. Kul Tiras with remains of theramore
  9. Dalaran
  10. Stormwind+gilneas
  11. Other human kingdoms
  12. Dwarves+gnomes
  13. Insectoids

And make some factions neutral/friendly on start between themselves:6-12
Universally neutral: 5,9
Universally hostile: 13,2

And then you as a player can either work up or destroy your relationship with every fraction by doing PvP/PVE content, while the general inter-fraction relations act as multiplier.
Like if your fraction is in good place story-wise with another faction, you gain rep faster loose rep slower. If the fractions are at war, you gain rep slowly, loose rep very fast

There is no need for more ugly races. 99% of the player base plays the attractive races and nearly always females. What’s the point of adding a turtle that a tiny amount of players will play? Add more customization instead.

i second this. Some allied races literally got nothing (Vulpera, Darkiron, Zanda, Kul tiras, Mechagnomes) while the allied race elves got a huge update.

u forgot nightborne… nightborne got even less then nothing.

The nightborne got a new update and got bunch of new costumizations.

did they? o.o i havent noticed… might check those out if true.

Gnoll. The only race.

Yeah, they got glowing hands and some other hair styles i think, Lunaera made a thread asking for more costumizations.

I can’t complain because our race has plenty of costumizations already, but i would appreciate if they added some highborne jewelry and nature related stuff, like antlers for druids only, along with some new hair styles and silver earring for males and females.

they do look ALOT better.

Vrykul, Ogre, Arrakoa, Saberon, Furbolg, Tuskarr.

I am not saying it wont be tensionless, but we are well past this “x can’t be in same faction as y” at this point. If you have watched any resolving cinematics and dialogues from the recent expansions, you should know that the trust between the cross-faction racial leaders are building up to something more.

Just ignore the Sylvanas story, we all know Danuser (/Denauser or whatever his name is) clings to his Sylvanas-pillow, and due to plot armour every horde races went along with yet another warmonger.

Vrykul for the Alliance, forest trolls for the Horde.

I want those bird people (Arrakora?) for the Alliance or Horde (maybe both). In the “Beyond the Portal” Book there is even an incident mentioned in which Turalyon, Kadghar, Alleria and Alliance Soldiers get (goblin-like) assistance from one of those Bird People to hit the horde hard by getting in contact with the Draenei.

Yeah, no, i don’t mean Sylvanas even
The issue is that when in a fantasy setting you have a longevity, where a character, such as an elf, unless pwned lives for 10 000 years, that means every revanchism sentiment does not have shelf life.
Therefore, whatever little tidbits of, lets say, positive present-day experiences they have, its a drop in the ocean of available historic memory.

And even if man in black would come in and wipe the entire elvish/troll memory…
It’s completely unrealistic from a psychological view point to consider, that, say, blood elves would find the company of other non-elvish horde races pleasant.
Orcs, taurens, trolls and like are tribesman, so culturally, politically, socially and magically inferior; most certainly not up to hygienic or aesthetic standards, which don’t even get me started on psychological importance of that.

I mean, you could argue, that Blood Elves were forced into the Horde not to be the next target of Sylvanas’ genocidal antiques and/or not to collapse under the scourge attacks, especially since Varian took a dmp on the humans of Lordaeron with the possible exception of Gilneas.
But now that the boy-king basically burned Tirisfal Glades to the ground and Sylvanas has been impeached, there is no reason what so ever for the elves to remain in the horde.

Well, except for pandering to the player base, of course.
Which, i would argue, is the real reason why we see trolls and elves in one faction.

However, you can’t place some supposed horde/alliance partisanship over the lore, or it breaks the suspension of disbelief, making people not care about the story.

Which they don’t and thanks to similar pandering decisions
IMHO

No, this is no way to write lore for a universe. I think, by now due to developments in fantasy and sci-fi genre, it is pretty obvious, that your narrative should have logic.

And that’s something Warcraft severely lacks, like don’t even get me started on books.
If there was any logic in the warcraft universe, azeroth orcs would have died out by now, perhaps, as early as the kulling of Kor’kron, but in BFA surely.

Naga
Eredar
San’layn (race or customization for belf/velf)
Sethrak
Arakkoa (my favourite)
Ethereals

The ones I would most like to see are Arrakoa on the Alliance and Ogres on the Horde.

As an elf player i find Arakkoa pretty cool, but i dont find them pretty no.

That’s fine, if you want to play a pretty race, play an Elf, but Elf players shouldn’t dictate other players’ choice of races. That was part of the charm of WoW.
