As i said i liked the idea of playing an Arakkoa, but i dont find them pretty, just because i dont find a race pretty that doesn’t mean i wouldn’t like to play it.
Vyrkul and Ogres. I don’t think it’s possible for Arrakoa to look good in armour, they’ll end up looking like Dracthyr with the same limited customisation.
Mok’nathal
Actually… not a big loss
90% or not more of WoW’s armours are either horribly outdated or simply not match each other at all
Without the option to dye your armor or at least synchronize their colours with a push of a button it is just tere to annoy you
There are few worse and demoralizing things than having a great armour set idea then realize, it will never work, becasue the slight shade difference in their colour or how they actually looks like
The argument for X RACE CANNOT BE PLAYABLE BECAUSE OF ARMOUR RIGGING died as soon as they altered transmogs to make things hidden and a lot of races look a lot better with minimal armour e.g. Worgen and Orcs, even ones like Nightborne where seeing the body art is cool.
Arrakoa
Tuskarr
Hozen
Ogres
all have dances, look great without lots of armour sets and act as if they are playable, the only reason they are not in the game is because people, and devs perhaps, are only listening to the majority of Human/Elf players as to what they want to play.
They don’t care, they are happy dressing up their elves and that’s fine but,
I have a deep suspicion that if Tauren were invented yesterday, no one would ask for them in the game because they are so obviously different and ugly. And yet, they are one of the most Iconic races in the entire game.
WoW might as well be Final Fantasy where every race is just human with funny ears at this point, where all transmog is, is dressing up a human.
Tmog is not vital to enjoying a race. I would play Arrakoa in a heartbeat if all I had to go on with was coloured feathers and masks.
Hell, Druids are insanely popular and their tmog choices are fire cat and uhhhh, cat.
Same with the Naga or the Saberon for me
There are dancing Arakoa??? I must see!
High elves please <3
You are a High Elf, just one that calls itself a “Blood Elf, Children of Blood”, but that is just a name… or philosophy. Or political view, depending whom you ask.
Like how the Ren’dorei are High Elves too and “Children of the Shadow” is just a name. And they are a bit void infused. But aside the occasional indigo skin for a few short sec, you can turn the void effects, like tentacles, skin colour off
Shhh dont dash my dreams with logic, High elves please!
+1 for Vrykul. Kul Tiran Humans are cool and all, but I don’t like the belly (only because it makes transmogging more difficult).
I was thinking a humanoid plant based race, (bit like mostly Botani with a bit of dryad for vines and hair (grass ?) options - prefer feet or roots to hooves)
humanoid, because:
- Has a face
- Might fit current transmog options
- Easier to support current classes and fighting styles.
In addition could offer fun new options such as:
- Plant armor, tribal body paint, tree ring markings and bark textures, root options for feet etc.
- Growth abilities - inc size, grow a support / minion ?
- Choice of daylight or evening spec flavour - sunlight or darkness themed abilities.
- Specialist attacks: Sap spray, tangle choke, roots, poison, decay, toxic/sleep mist/spores etc
Blizzard have danced around this theme, mostly with Ardenweald npcs or druids. GW2 has got a plant race, although I am not keen on most of the hair options and would prefer a more plant based playstyle tbh.
A new race with an interesting back story and culture could add to the current line up
Playing as a Dryad would be awesome.
agree with u (:
High elves. Or a reunion of the belf and velf
I would stare at the face of erevien for ages.
Would hug him and tell him of all the adventures I had as a Void Elf before coming home to Silvermoon TEEHEEEHEEE.
he would transform himself in an urchin one (the ppl wandering in the ruins of silermoon)
Hahaha, we would have to bake him a lovely meal and tell him we are friends and family again and its a wuvy duvy world of peacecraft <3
Still waiting for Ogres to be a playable race for Horde, I am pretty sure Boulderfist or some other ogre clan is still officially a part of the Horde
Second would be Mok’nathal (Rexxar’s race)
Would be cool if they could make Gnolls work, dunno how they would join either side lore-wise, as they are essentially animals
Also Jinyu and Hozen for alliance and horde feels like it would be a long time coming
