New raid 🥴

I checked out the new raid on LFR first 3 bosses, why are the bosses so messy? so much going on all over the place its hard to understand what to do and where to go with so many things happening same time. Btw its not about difficulty we cleared the bosses easily but im talking about the design itself it was not fun to do bosses like that just made me dizzy and annoyed

what do u think?

Reading the adveture guide might help

typing this on a classic character really fits to be honest

I don’t think they’re messy, pretty simple once you get the tactics. Had a good group with people telling the tactics in the most simple way possible, wish I had written it up because they summed every fight so well in just few lines.

it is one of the worst raids of all time for sure, not sure why they keep going with this type of design

What a helpful comment… could you explain what exactly you mean by your drivel?

just like OP said, messy, bad design. You have 4 bosses at the same time with circlers, tornadoes, pillars, tank taunt swaps no stacking here but stacking here go behind pillar whatever, Its just not fun to do a boss like this, if you look at old design from even Firelands Cataclysm u can have hard bosses but they are still fun to do because its simple to understand what u have to do and what is going on

Sennarth, the Cold Breath. Wonderfully designed boss, very fun to play such a thing.

Whoever told you to go behind pillar on council I am not sure if that person knows what to do at all

Just saying. You use pillars to discharge blue circle.

I read the very simplified version of the adventure journal, translating it into “stand IN the fire when you have x, spread when you have y, interrupt z” etc and found it amongst the easier LFR wings I’ve done. In fact, less annoying than some of the open world mobs.

I actually think they made an effort to show bosses mechanics clearly now. At least they are starting to have some sort of consistency with mechanics. Animated colored pillar: soak. Swirling circle on the ground: avoid.
I remember that without dbm there was no way you could do some bosses during WoD.

I watched a video of the bossfights, and had a look at the adventurer’s guide.

Even without it the only mechanics that weren’t exactly clear were the swirlies, but once the first one happens you know what the ability will do the next time.

This really shouldn’t be necessary. I almost never watch any video or read guide, I rather try to “discover” what to do on my own.

Cata was many things but simple wasn’t one of them. Dungeon bosses had more complex mechanics than raids do today, and the entire expansion was overall extremely hard.

That’s your choice, but don’t be surprised if you’re overwhelmed at first. Imagine watching a round of PvP without knowing any of the class abilities. Of course it will look like chaos, but for the people in it everything makes sense.

Depends on boss, but I’m sure game shouldn’t require you to check outside material or in-game journal. I’ve opened council journal and died before pull cause of wall of text I’ve got. Turned out it’s incredibly simple fight.

As for PvP - that’s why it sucks, you just can’t play it without addons to handle overwhelming amounts of informations in really short time.

Go back to classic with ur 1 Mechanic Bosses.

At least with this new raid you can cleary see that the dev team did a great effort to design bosses that you can do without any kind of addon and still be visible and understandable.

Honestly these bosses feel much less complicated than the bosses in Shadowlands’ raids. However the mechanics are certainly more impactful if you don’t respect them.

Fire burns… i think i will need a video-guide or a blue post from blizz explaining me how fire works, i dont get it by myself

WoW isn’t candy crush. Any game with minimal depth has rules you need to learn before playing or face some losses while you figure them out for yourself.

The lower difficulties in this game aren’t particularly demanding this way, so if even those are more than you can handle then you should probably stick to console adventure “games”.
