This has bottered me quite a bit lately. You can just predict what thread gets a blue response. Itās annoying. Now do I think they shouldnāt have fun and feel good moments in those threads? No. But they should put more effort into actual information or communication on issues.
Else they might as well close the EU forums and tell us: tough luck, go make a US account.
Yes, I also play on lightbringer horde and the numbers are likewise really low, I think in the morning it used to take at least till 8 a.m. to go over 50, till then you can easily find all people online with a single who.
They might just put it on hold for some to wait and see how the SL release might affect the population of select realms due to the returners?
Still, so annoying to have radio silence from Blizz on that, especially after all people from low pop servers got their hopes up. As people earlier said, was already firmly looking forward to a Moonglade merge, just to have this taken away a month before the expansion comes out - at a time where everyone hopes for a lively server community to enjoy it with.
Shadowlands is on its way and getting closer, Iām on the lowest populated English Realm out there (Nordrassil) and I really donāt wanna transfer with 5 characters i play, itās just to expensive. Iām losing hope here and wonder if I will keep playing without a merge. The world feels so dead. No serious raiding guilds. No people around. No chat. Nothing
KulāTiras/Alonsus/Anachronos and also Lightbringer/Mazrigos are in desperate need. Ultimately, I think the biggest reason for a connection is to increase the server player poole and make recruitment easier for raiding guild, M+ teams and PvP, so I look at those two realms:
These clusters needs to be connected to high populated realms rather than to each other.
That is because people constantly leaving lol-pop realms so sooner or later weāll face being dead yet again.
Connecting dead realms to dead realms is no solution at all!
Actually, according to JĆ„nekās post there are no high pop Alliance realm on the EN1 datacenter, theyāre all on EN2. So unless you wanna join Burning Legion, Dentrag, Drakāthul or Korāgall the only option is to join several low-medium pop Alliance realms.
Sitting on the same boat (and ream pool as you do). I have had huge hopes in this undertaking of Blizzard to refill server population. However, their last work has not yet been spoken - I will give up hopes once Blizzard comes out and says āhave fun in SL, we will put the Server Merges on holdā.
There are some medium clusters out there with 3 or more 12/12 at alliance side but this is not all about alliance, horde is even in worse situation than we are.
I was however anwsering the idea of connecting Lightbringer, Alonsus and Stormrage which would result of 2+0+1 12/12M alliance and how many horde? 1? 2?
The most dead clusters needs to be connected to highest ones not with each other. Or just connected them all into a mega-cluster resulting 30 servers all together.
The whole merge seems quite pointless imo. The same effect can be achieved by simply making mythic raiding, guilds and AH cross realm. Everything else is already cross realm.
You know you canāt save both Alliance and Horde on the same realm. Most high pop realms are heavily faction biased. The other faction wonāt benefit from such a connection and people will have to faction change/realm transfer.
Itās like the Alliance toons on Draenor complaining they have no people while the realm is one of the largest in EU and canāt realistically be connected to anything.
