How about a small selection of item styles instead of one, and new players get to choose their armour design along with face hair etc at the character creation screen?

Worgen and Goblin seem to be hilariously unaffected by this.
Also Pandaren but they all start with the same monk looking cloth anyway.
Jup, saw that on reddit too. Especially with the old picture for comparison it’s really sad. One would think it would be possible to at least have some different sets representing different races; doesn’t even mean ALL races need their own gear. But orcs wearing human clothes looks really awful and makes zero sense.
This way it just takes away a lot of immersion and race identity.

BTW TL2 should be enough to post wowhead and reddit links as they’re trusted sites.
Why is it necessary to remove old starting gear? Why not just add a high resolution version of them? I hope they won’t touch the vendor in Old Hillsbrad instance at least.
