How? I had few hundreds euros before that on my blizz account, and I have a lot of tokens and game time. Most gold makers bought tokens before this mount
Blizzardâs pricing is all-around disgusting these days.
Theyâve long been able to leverage the quality of their games as reason for the premium costs ofâŚeverything. And then they have a very loyal core fanbase that will throw an obscene amount of money at anything they sell.
I do think Blizzard are milking the cow for its last drops now, because their games arenât that premium anymore, and their fans arenât so many either. But of course for now itâs easy money.
If you buy the mount with gold, then it takes gold out of the in-game economy.
And since this mount is valuable and people will want it, that means that gold to buy it with becomes more desirable.
So gold goes out of the economy at the same time as gold becomes more valuable. Thatâs simple supply and demand, and itâll make the WoW Token go up, which will make it worth more gold and thus a better deal to buy for âŹ20. And thatâs good for Blizzardâs business.
Noo, the average wow and Diablo player is probably around 30-40 right now. The cow can still be milked hard for a very very long time. Especially the lonely men, who donât have a wife, who controls their spending a bit. Those are gonna spend the most, even if they arenât rich
But I already had transferred gold in money? most people did that few weeks ago since it was obvious that the price of token will go up, it would be dumb to keep gold in your bank instead of real money or tokens (or both)
OMG, I saw this post and thought and thought OP was pulling our legs, but I still looked in the shop, 100% sure I was being trolled. Now I logged in, and Dornogal is like the valley of the dinosaurs (awesome 70âs cartoon). Gotta admit Iâm tempted - it looks great.
Of course. But itâs also a question of morality on the side of Blizzard.
I mean, if Blizzard sold drugs on the store, then you could say the same: âItâs their money, theyâre free to spend it as they choose.â
But weâd probably all object to Blizzard selling drugs.
Likewise, selling any digital item for $90 in a video game with a $50 cost and a running subscription is downright disrespectful toward the customer.
