New store mount: $90 Brutosaur

No, but I would still argue that Blizzard has a moral responsibility with regards to how they conduct their business.

And I feel this is pretty morally reprehensible.

something is only worth what people are willing to pay for it

people are clearly willing to pay for it, ergo its worth it

Ā£60 for a mount though. Some people have more money than sense.

They can’t hear you over the ridiculous amount of money they’ve just made in the last hour.

What does the sub have to do with it?

or just more money

So many mounts in Dornogal…

You bought it I figure.

Blizzard is a business and they’re here to make money. Looks like there’s a market for this mount.

It only makes a difference if a huge amount of their playerbase unsubs, which is pretty unlikely.

Obviously.

Play Diablo Immortal some day.

Inspect people.

Most players you see have thrown a lot of money at that game.

Tens of thousands of euro.

There’s no reason to assume that the WoW players who have played this game for longer and have stronger attachment, aren’t also throwing an obscure amount of money at it.

It’s still distasteful conduct by Blizzard to exploit people’s attachement to the game by extracting even more money from them when people already pay so much, and the customers don’t really get fair game value back for all the money Blizzard makes. I mean, the game isn’t getting bigger or better despite players throwing more and more money at it.

Isnt that an whole different soap opera where you pretty much need due to p2w(if you want to win obviously) while the long boy at best is just a QoL improvement.

There’s a song by Eddie Vedder - Society with a line in it thats goes

ā€œThere’s a greed in which we have agreedā€

What about all the people who blow a fortune on BDO and Genshin Impact.

Isn’t that also despicable? I mean, at this point there’s little difference between the behavior of gaming companies and casinos in Las Vegas.
They’re both trying to fleece the customer.

Omg it’s finally

people think I’m mental for spending Ā£50 on a decent bottle of gin

i enjoy it, so them not approving is their problem, not mine

this is no different

and i can assure you the mount will last longer than any bottle of gin does in my house!

you may not know this, but the people that makes casino games are hired by companies like blizz, along with behavioral psychologists etc to try and make the game as addictive as possible and milk whales

I dont think you’re mental for spending Ā£50 on gin. My favourite one (Botanist) is about Ā£32. I also like Hendricks Neptunia too.
