The new latents are absolutely lame for resto druids in M+.
Improved sunfire is a very important talent for m+ and with the new positioning of it, it pretty much forces druids to go down the boomkin side on the left.
I personally was very satisfied with the previous talent tree as it allowed for flexibility in your descision making. For example, you could spend a good amound of point in ‘cat dps’ talents to make your playstyle more dynamic. Furthermore, there was the option to go down the tree towards protector of the pack choosing feline swiftness and primal fury talents for more mobility and dps, or take the route down by choosing thick hide and ironfur for more survivability. Also, incapacitating roar was a very welcome and usefull utility ability to help out the group with some additional cc.
However, due to the new positioning of improved sunfire, this flexibility is completely taken away and resto druids are now basically forced to go down a specific route unless you want to sacrifice one of your most usefull and efficient dps talents. Not only does it take away the flexibility but more importantly, it takes away the fun.
And wth is this forestwalk talent? Seems quite useless to me and I don’t understand the reasoning behind the implementation of this talent.
Anyway, I know this post won’t change anything so thank you very much Blizz for yet again taking the fun out of something. I guess resto druids had to much freedom of choose and fun with the previous talents and we can’t allow that to happen, right?
There was no cross movement in the old tree and that was the main complaint, so what did they do? They made it worse. We have 4 specs and you have to basically pick one to go down. Awful as always.

I don’t mind resto druids being nerfed, we were quite strong in DPS in M+ but:
Why did they not even touch Evokers who do substantially more damage than we do?
Why didn’t they just leave the playstyle alone and flat nerf our spell auras?
By pushing us towards boomkin they’ve completely messed up our playstyle in M+ and I’m really irritated because I was having a lot of fun on my resto druid cat weaving and now I have to feel either like I’m sacrificing DPS or playing a spec that I don’t really enjoy (i.e. boomboxing).
Doesn’t matter though because Blizz don’t even read the EU forums, the resto druid community gave them feedback on PTR about their moving improved sunfire and they just straight up ignored it. I hope the talent tree changes get reverted and if they want to nerf us then nerf the other OP M+ healer class for the love of Odyn…
P.S. why the hell can I not find any of my characters on the forums to post under apart from this random DK I played on classic for about 2 hours just for the promotional mount?

EDIT: Forgot to mention, thanks for completely breaking Protector of the Pack, which is a significant part of my damage. I’ve gone from doing 20k+ overall to doing 10k overall. Nice job.
Hilarious. So apparently I had to log out and then reset my password to get my other characters to show and there’s a blue post somewhere on US forums that says they can’t fix this problem. How is it that a company who turns over $8.8 billion dollars in one year and has $25 billion in assets can somehow not be able to come up with a fully functioning website?
Yeah, I dont know why Evoker was left either. When I was looking for groups tonight above 15 they were specifically asking for Evoker as healer in multiple groups because they bring so much damage, healing and heroism. Its the ultimate package.
Bro, the Evokers are bad too. AOE damage was taken from the druids, while the temporal anomaly was broken from the Draktirs.
This was the main quick burst for emergencies, now it is useless. This throws shields to everyone except players. Also, Lifebind no longer heals everyone who has an echo.
I leave the healers until better times.
Tried some builds out without picking the improved sunfire talent; so, cat dps and boomkin form. Absolutely not worth it. Without improved sunfire the entire boomkin path is very inefficient and lacks dps. Also, trying to upkeep cat dots and do some boomkin dmg seems to be unsustainable to keep-up without falling behind on healing.
Tonight I’m going to try to run without sunfire entirely because without the improved talent it just seems a waste of a gcd. I’m going full cat and protector of the pack and see how that performs. Atleast I know it will be a much more enoyable playstyle for sure
