New titan residum takes ages to farm

New currency cost for buying high piece of azerite gear takes ages nerf the amount or unsub. You lied again to us developers during wotlk pandaria or cataclysm it never took ages to farm valor.

Yeah it’s a joke, and an absolute brain dead addition lmao. 10 weeks to get a 385 item if you do a +15 every week. That’s 1 item per major patch. Average major patch is 6 months, then all your gear is trash. Absolute joke to be honest. And you get 16 currency for scrapping a 370 item lololol.

At what point did Blizzard lie to you? They never said how long it should take to farm the currency to buy an item.

Again :blush: I’m a pro grind… I’ve been grinding since 2006 so good finally we got something to work for but. But. But. 1700+ Titan pieces where a weekly chest +6 gives you 10… that means 17 weeks for an item for me… 6 months :joy::joy: i should probably wait next patch then :joy:

You do realize that there are plenty of sources around: M+ chest, emisary 370s, simple WQ for 340 piece, uldir LFR,normal,HC,Myth azerite pieces…heck even normal,hc,mythic dungs. Sure the ammount varies from a 325 piece to a 370. But if you are dedicated enough, you can get it faster than 10 weeks lol.

But if you were hoping to DE/scrap 3 ilevel 340 azerite pieces and instantly equip your character with 3 BiS 385 items. Then yeah…my “condolences”.

Edit: nvm. Noticed that you start getting titanum stuff from ilevel 340. Still plenty enough sources…

Is this currency only available in M+ dungeons? I don’t do dungeons so this is beyond reach for me if it’s the case.

It’s not like they lied about anything, but it depends too much on your BiS items. Specs that have 2 of their BIS azerite pieces drop from raid and only 1 from dungeons are kinda OK, if they can manage to earn around ~100 risiduum per week (which is not that hard) they be looking at 6-7 weeks for the specific max ilvl azerite piece (I expect the ratio of obtained to needed currency to be preserved after the new tier). Those that need 2 pieces from dungeons by the same logic would need around 13 weeks to obtain both, which is also not that bad in the grand scheme of things.

I don’t know where you came up with the 1700 number. The most expensive now is 675. And if by 1700 you mean the 415 ones, then you’d also be getting more residuum per M+ cache and will also be able to scrap higher ilvl azerite armor. As I said I expect the ratio of obtained to needed currency to be preserved in the next tier as it is now.

The currency is obtained from the M+ chest and by scrapping Azerite Armor pieces.

Of course everybody can just take the RNG road and buy random max ilvl pieces for a significantly less currency and hope for the best :smiley:

also Elit wq is only working with 5 man and no more raids anymore. Also some spells nerfed Resto druid is dead. So many negativity around 8.1 now so I decided to quit and play CSGO or Fortnite instead of dis crap.

They did lie. In the original blue post months ago, said it would take 3 weeks to get a specific item. It’s a minimum 10, if you do a 15 key every week. Longer if you only do 10 keys.

You’ve gotta remember these are items that are replaced multiple times. Not like a legendary (which took a week to grind) in legion, which lasted the whole expansion.

Azerite gear takes 3x longer to farm. And lasts 6 months tops (every major patch all your gears trash, like come jan 22nd). And tbh it will last even less, as blizz is constantly nerfing the top ones on a weekly basis lol. The ones ive got on my rogue, snake eyes, has just had a 50%nerf and now utter trash lol.

I have a feeling that they are slowly moving away from raids and want people to do M+ dungeons more.

I am pretty certain, they said the 385 random caches (at least you can get an item for a specific slot) will take 2-3 weeks of M+ chests to get one and that specific items will be more expensive.
I think ~4 times as much is a pretty steep increase, but this are the best in slot items after all.

And how do you explain your difference in calculation between +15 and +10?
As far as I know you still get the best chest with any +10 or higher and you only get titan residuum from the weekly chest and scrapping azerithe gear (which you don’t get in M+, but from raids, WQs and emissary quests).

You get more residuum the higher the M+ level you completed. So for this example the weekly chest from completing a +10 rewards 60 residuum, while the weekly chest from completing a +15 rewards 80.

Yeah as the dude above said. You get more currency the higher the key. A +20 is nearly double what you get from A +10 (there is diminishing returns the higher you go).

And tbh Think you’re right, they probs meant random ones.

It’s a completely pointless addition by the time you get enough currency to buy what you want, you will probably already got it from grinding M+.

Oh, I think that’s fair. I am just a little surprised as I got the impression of everything I read, that +10 would still be the cap for items and the titan residuum, either it wasn’t communicated very well or I read the wrong news posts.

You definitely won’t because you don’t get azerite gear from M+ and azerite gear can’t warforge/titanforge.

Completely forgot that they removed M+ azerite drops…:grimacing:
But it still seems like the currency drops are too low, especially for those running lower keys.
