Hey, this’ just a miscellaneous thread to try to get my bearings in this server. Newly moved to EU, migrated across the pond.
Very experienced RPer/Writer just trying to get to know everyone. Admittedly rusty on my WoW Lore though, been busy.
I see PCU thrown everywhere but I’ll be honest, besides that it’s some kind of Cinematic Universe, I know nothing about it or the communities around.
Could someone throw me some Discord Invites to get the lay of the land, please? It’d be massively appreciated- I’m hoping to find a more campaign/long-term oriented guild.
Hey there, first of all, welcome to Argent Dawn, it is always nice to see more people willing to try out RP, whether they are new or already have some experience.
They’re a group of guilds that work together on making their own campaigns and storylines. Some like them, some absolutely hate their guts because of past ( and potentially present) happenings, and some just try to get on with their RP without ending up in either camp 1 or 2. Honestly just decide for yourself what you think of them if you run into some of their members.

Discord-wise I’m not super informed but I’m sure others can help in that regard (I’m mostly aware of specific community and guild discords only); as for lore, the majority of people I met here are more than happy to help out there!

My personal preference to get any kind of roleplay started, is to snoop around Stormwind until you stumble upon something you like. Walk around the city at as many different times of day as you are able to. Make a rogue and sneak until you can sneak no more. Find who you like and what you like, and then try to impress them to the point where they’ll want to see you again. Heck, maybe you’ll even find someone else in your position, and the two of you can start your own thing together!
While, in my opinion, this is one of the most natural ways possible to kickstart your roleplaying career on a new server, it is also one of the most time-intensive options at your disposal. Weigh it according to your case as you see fit. Welcome to Argent Dawn, and good luck out there.
The Argent Archives is one of your best bets, while the forums have a host of guilds recruiting.
You will find a lot of very active RP hubs, with this realms focus being Alliance weighted but a still active horde player base.
I would a stroll around a few hubs, interact and see what guilds pop out to you and take it from there. Utilise the recourses on Argent Archives and the forums when you want to hop into a guild
It is nothing more or less than a group of likeminded RP guilds that want to do cool RP and have banded together in a tight-knit community to facilitate this.

As someone who has a guild which is apart of the PCU community, and as mentioned by
Which is correct, PCU tends to co ordinate like minded guilds From Horde-Loyalist/Non, Evil, Alliance guilds to large or smaller scale events.
In terms of the PCU Drama each large scale community has it, sadly it can’t be avoided yet people try their best to avoid such things.
In terms of roleplay Horde barely roleplay in their capital so you will have to scan zones using TRP3 like crossroads, or natural cities to find open world Horde roleplay otherwise its mostly guild dominated.
In terms of alliance you can find plenty of roleplay both guilded and open world, there are plenty of guilds operating in the areas of the plague lands, plenty of open roleplay in Stormwind, Duskwood, Dalaran Legion.
And you can always use the wonderful resources mentioned by the fellow roleplayers on the server.
If you looking for something to do you can find it in game on the 3th party sites or even the AD forums good luck.
