so i’m new to the mythic things, played last in mop. where do i get started? do i need a key? where do i get it? now how do i get a group, i’m 171 but people don’t want me because i haven’t done the dungeons on mythic.
I highly doubt people don’t want you because you haven’t done the dungeons on mythic.
All mythic dungeons are, is basically just a slightly harder heroic that you can’t queue for, and has a one week lockout.
Mythic+ requries keystones that you get from doing mythic, but that isn’t available yet.

You do not need a key for Mythic 0, only for later levels which are yet to unlock. If you’ll want a Keystone, run any Dungeon on Level 0. It should give anyone who does not yet have a Keystone one at the end, depending on your clearing time. The Keystone as of BfA went down by one Level if you failed the run. As of BfA each Keystone you got was for a random Dungeon.

Mythic 0 for a Dungeon can be done only once a week, but you can run other Dungeons at Mythic 0 within the same week once. You can only have one Keystone a week.

Expectations of PuGs can be unreasonable sometimes, so maybe there are people out there already expecting you to have an Achievement for Mythic level. Try running most if not all on Heroic, and maybe improve your gear (not to say it is not a bad ILevel at all).

Just choose the dungeon you want. Either start your own group, or apply to someone else’s
just said i haven’t done the m0s to someone, he wanted the mythic dungeon achievement lol

It’s first week, so he probably wanted a carry. There’s literally no reason of doing any m0 dungeon 2 times in 1 week except when helping a guildy.

I’m going to suggest starting by joining a community who do the sorts of things you want to do 
I hear good things about Zen Horde. I don’t know how high they tend to run, but I imagine they’d be a good place to start. Search them in-game or check the communities recruitment forum maybe
But remember that the current mythic season has not started; there is only M+0 available.
He’s a ****wit, tbqh, and you should ignore him. We are 6.5 days into the expansion, you can’t expect everyone to have done all the mythics already -_-

Start your own group, easy as that.
You’d be surprised of the amount of people willing to join someone with ‘‘no experience’’ while simultaneously not willing to take them into a group. I guess people are scared of being the group leader or something
Normal mythic dungeons are still pretty easy. Freshly dinged 60’s can do them, although for pugs I’d expect they want more. You can make your own group, and as long as you’re able to pull your own weight, people won’t have problems with that either.

welcome back to the game.
there are four dungeon difficulties, normal, heroic, mythic and mythic+. you only require a keystone for mythic+, which you will receive from any mythic or mythic+ dungeon. but you dont need to worry about it as mythic+ isnt enabled yet.
mythic+ is quite a competitive scene so you will more often than not run into people who have expectations to peoples experience which are absolutely blown out of proportion.
so i hate to be “this guy”, but better get used to it. also, you might want to take a look into the rio addon.
that being said, mythic dungeons arent that much more challenging than heroics and can be done with an item level 140/150+. if you happen to get declined frequently, i suggest you just make your own group via the dungeon custom group finder tool. (where you will find all the mythics and m+ dungeon groups, you have to create groups manually for them and walk into the dungeons too).
there are still communities out there like scared of dungeons (alliance) or zen horde (horde), which make things easier if you dont want to join a guild.

I’ve been clearing every mythic for a couple hours and I’ve encountered three of those so far

how did u get 171 ilvl without mythics and im 160 even tho I did all mythics?
Farming heroics maybe - 171 each piece should be enough.
Maybe even join a guild/community if you haven’t already.
I’ve been doing mythics and when making the group been putting in the description “1st time doing “etc. and you’d honestly be surprised the amount of people that join - everyone that has joined has been super chill as well which is always nice

I will mention that the OP will never need RIO if they join a guild and/or community and do dungeons with them. It is a thing only required if you pug stuff, and frankly the effort of managing your RIO score is probably higher than that of maintaining good relationships with a few other players
u can also upgrade pvp gear to 171 this week (rank 3) and u can upgrade it further to rank 5 once we hit renown 7
im already at 11K honor
eh, its not really effort if you use the desktop app for it. it updates automatically. yeah i just mentioned it just in case, even if you pug with friends and have free slots it doesnt hurt to use it.
well, so far no luck. i should clarify, i am playing brew. no exp = no thanks. oh well.
