There are so many people in here and elsewhere who thinks that this will stop the advertising. It won’t.

These people were already told LFD wasn’t the place for this - they did it anyway. You tell them Trade Chat isn’t for this? They’ll do it anyway.

That’s the thing about advertisers; they don’t work to give you a nice view of the different options - rather they work to push themselves in front of you whether you want them to or not. To annoy you into submission because you simply can’t think of or cannot find the competing, and perhaps more ethical, alternatives.

But hey, sure - now you can go in there and find not even half of the available offers because they’re all still busy spamming trade and the LFD tool.

If blizzard does not bring down the ban hammer HARD on anybody that abuses anything after they have been given their means to ply their trade ,then their action and allocation of hardware to this cause will be for nothing and in vain.

Immediate ban for anything. No warnings. Nothing. You get your channel to spam your crap so do it there.

Was it really alive if it was filled with ‘‘guilds’’ advertising their boosts.

It’s impossible to police it given how rampant it is.

It’s the usual dumb attitude these days of trying to cure the symptoms and not the disease. Why is boosting so prevalent? Hmm… well maybe it’s because of how they design their game? No, it IS exactly that reason.

There’s the pathetic levelling up and preparing for Mythic content, which requires at the very best a lobotomy to overcome-- then all of a sudden you get the ridiculous cliff in difficulty. No wonder people give up and buy their way through (I cannot understand the point of cheating because well, the point of buying a game is to beat it-- it’s like cheating at chess and then somehow feeling satisfied that you won).

Oh, these kinds of things will always exist, but in older times it was nothing like as universal as it is now.

It has indeed but it it was only done as a side hustle. There are literally corporations who do boosts for money. Sure it’s against the ToS but only if you get caught. If you do get caught Wow accounts are throw away.

It’s not regulated in any sense. It’s been swept to the back alleys where they can ignore it further.

Boosting has invalidated any sense of progression.

Spamming in trade is already against the ToS and Blizzard do not do a thing. Nothing will change unless Blizzard proactively cleans up the spam toxicity in the game. Blizzard have given boosters a new place to spam.

At least we have more bowls of fruit, that’s really what people care about…

WoW has become a free to play game, the operators don’t do anything, just token actions, to combat it.

I left /2 sometime in MoP, is it worth joining it again?
