I have noticed that most of the stuff we get from basic game is 2 versions of sets in 6 colors and thats pretty much it. All else that is cool is either trade post, or the item shop. New val’kyr sets are so insane but ofc its for $.
It has been this way for quite some time already and its getting kinda stale. While I don’t mind trading post itself I do believe some sets we get from shop like the ascended regalia. Sure u can farm gold for token and buy it but then again would be cool to see same model/recolor in-game for activities within the game itself.
Feels like the shop activity has been only growing and there is often quite huge discrepancy from what we get from base game and shop itself.
Would be cool to see more in-game content easy, mid-difficulty or even something hard that would make up for that void described above.
Next time you see WoW Tokens plummet to like 250k gold that’d be a good time to fill out your Battle.net balance at €13 a pop. I’ve capped out on my balance at €250 [5-7+m gold] to which I use to buy whatever off the online store.
And it’s a lot cheaper than a lot of the going rates for ingame collectibles…
Buy tokens with gold you earned by playing the game: Voila, you just got the set by playing the game.
Also:
You wouldn’t think that, based on the amount of complaints the TP gets on a monthly basis for ‘never having anything good’.
Besides; there’s plenty of people who really like the various ethereal themed transmog we’re getting in this season. Or the goblin/tech stuff in last season. Etc.
The cash shop has always seen items with more time spent on them. Sparkle pony being the first way back in Wrath.
However they’ve been doing recolours for almost the life of the game. It’s probability why we’ll never get a good dye system.
The trading post I will partially defend Blizzard on. Sine the trading post Blizzard has clearly put more effort into cosmetic items when we had virtually none before. I dont like most of them but that’s personal preference.
I’m not a fan of the themed stuff every month outside of holiday events.
Hard disagree. T2 remasters, Arathi sets and recolours, many heritage sets - all highly praised, many of them quite recent. Yes, there are nice store items, but it’s not like the base game doesn’t provide quality sets either.
I see it the same way.
Most transmogs we get in the game are kinda decent to bad while the cash ones are cool.
Same thing i see recently with the mounts.
or you can then compensate it with raised subscription plan which wont be optional .so this trade off is far better then raised subscription price imho.
Oh, believe me, we are MILES AWAY from the horrible practice you describe.
With the base Expansion of TWW we got like 8 different transmog sets AT LEAST. And each season we get for around 13 classes a full set as tier set with respective recolors, then armor-type related transmogs for the world content of the season (which was 1-2 most of the time).
That makes in sum on average 52 sets as recolors, followed by 20 more world content recolors.
Meanwhile games like Destiny 2 get like 1 raid set for each class, 1 set from PvE and PvP each for each class and some unique items. That was it for the last expansion (which did cost 60€ or so). Not counting the “battle pass”, which added only 1 set of skins for each class. And that is paid content. The free stuff is ALWAYS mostly reskins or recycled armor that already exists.
But the store? There’s like 100 different sets across all classes in it by now. All which costs around 20€, which in sum makes 2.000€ at least
Meanwhile an Expansion and Season costs in payment and sub time around 1/4 of that value.
I think Blizzard is very, very customer friendly compared to Bungie at the moment. And that means something tbh.
what game ?the one we pay monthly subs plus yearly expansions for that game?
the one that offers us 3days early acess to an expansion the one that offers us a 100 dollar pay to win mount?
should i keep going or…?
i didnt talk about ff14 lol…
Most of us are loyal to this company, and this is how they treat us?
Sure, we’re not entitled to anything but is basic respect too much to ask for?
Silksong costs 20 euros. This reskinned, sloppy mog set costs 30 euros
I get that some of you don’t care, but come on have some self respect…
just look at the current hunter set fx
also then every one wonders why we are all hungry for old removed content…
take care of yourselfs kings and queens
