Like two weeks ago We were promised some updates on the new Warbreaker animation because the major part of the Warrior community dislikes it and it’s pretty much a downgrade but the patch is live and still we got no updates, So Blizzard are we supposed to just forget entirely the fact that you promised further updates for the animation but haven’t done anything?
If you are not going to do anything about the new animation atleast do it like you did with Ascendence for Shamans, make a glyph that makes Warbreaker do the old animation(pre 11.1) and put it on a vendor in our Class hall, so ppl who dislike the new animation can just use the glyph and the ppl that like the animation(a small part and the minority but they still matter) can be happy with the new animation, please just don’t fully ignore us on this matter It’s not cool.
It worked fine before and I have no idea why they think that adding a bunch of flashy magic effects to warriors fit with the class fantasy at all. And making warbreaker use another damn whirldwind animation when they had you leap up and smash the ground before is such a massive downgrade that I will probably never use it again, meta be damned!
Colossus Smash still has the jump attack at least, but the stupid floating sword effect is so unnecessary and just an eyesore.
Playing as a orc warrior in this expansion has been ridiculous, but there’s an interesting gameplay loop to retail so have really pushed through all the things I hate about retail and the direction of Warcraft for the last 2 weeks to give it a real shot and enjoy the mechanics.
Excited for the update today I log in and my orc warrior which has already lost so much of the fantasy I enjoy it for now does a cute twirl with magic sparkles and weapons for his signature ability - I’m so massively disappointed which may sound extreme but I managed to get through the destruction of my class and faction fantasy to now have to deal with this on top of it all. I want a refund lol, I feel cheated. Shame. Fix it and kick the DEI back in check just a little will you?
Don’t count on it being fixed any time soon. Blizzard is busy with new patch and stuff. Sweeping strikes animation is still bugged for 3 months now, and doesn’t apply cleave animation to mortal strike and execute.
