Let’s talk transmog here, folks.
Warriors can equip everything. As a fury Warrior, you can dual wield staves if you fancy so.
Most casters, on the other hand, have a pretty limite range of weapons to choose from.
Most of us won’t bother picking a set of weapons when gearing up: we’ll stick with a staff, no pun intended. And a staff is all we’ll ever get.
I’m growing tired of staves.
Caster weapons are only there to show off anyway, it’s not as if we’d need new animations. Why not let us equip what we want?
How about a Warlock wielding a two-handed sword?
This, especially if you’re the kind of person who prefers to use a Main-hand and an Off-hand item over a Staff. Just makes the items you equipped seem pointless for nothing other than transmog reasons.
Considering Caster animations don’t even involve the weapons, it’d be sick for them to get animations that use their weapons, instead of more options that just end up not being used.
Easier solution would be to bring back invisible staff~ mages just like ww monks could cast spells without stuff clipping thro their back (or any other body parts)
Dragon age had to design weapon casting for one only class, mage. Blizzard would have to do all the classes we have, plus different race sizes, plus different weapons as well (some use mace or sword and off hand) etc. Not gonna happen.
But to the topic. I’d be fine if they’d let us mog across weapon types. Like a mace into a dagger or one-hand+off-hand into a staff (they already do this with artifacts) and vise versa so I can wear my mogs regardless of what type of weapons I have atm.
F.e. if I make a mog that uses a dagger but all I have is a mace. It just seems unnecessary not to let me change it when my weapons are literally only aesthetic.
