It looks like Xal absorbed Khadgar’s blast via the dark heart. We see her at the start draining Dalaran of its magic using the dark heart, so it could realistically do the same for any arcane attacks.

I’m just imagining Khadgar going like, “WAIT HOLD ON! NEED TO RESPEC TO FIRE QUICKLY”, then 5 minutes later while Xal stops and stares he’s like, “I’m all good now!” and then blasts her to hell.

I was feel Khadgar had remodel after Season 4 and MOP remix.
He look a bit older

So using the developer timeline (each expansion is two years, 5 year timeskip SL-DF), then it’s been 15 years since the beginning of WOD.

I feel the speech really weird in this video. Major quotes like ‘like hell you will’ feel really… dumb, I don’t know. The voices are good, it’s the speech my main issue here. There are other cinematics with way better pitch.
