Same thing on me, but instead of 10 minutes of trying, it is in fact, 10 minutes of crying. I am very confuse I will go and delete my bag space to see if this helps!
I was an elvui user and I have successfully made the switch, but then my demands are not the same as some folks. I donāt mind the micro bar and the bags but agree a few more action bars and sizes would have been good. At least an option of 3 & 6 bars.
My major gripe with the new UI is the chat panels are not resizable and you cannot change the background without bleeding. If they had only made this better the new UI would have been perfect for me.
My game just wouldnāt let me make a new custom HUD/UI as every time i try to change something with the custom layout, it bugs out. Chat panel locks into the top left corner, the HUD/UI editor panel is transparent and buttons are all mixed together.
I even removed all other add-ons before doing this.
They had weeks of alpha/beta testing, boasting about this ānewā feature that add-ons have done so well over the past 18 years, only for it to be released with bugs?
I want to say iām surprised, but thatād be a lie, because this is what happens when you invite people to alphas and betas without proper surveys, then invite based on said surveys. This is what happens when you invite joyriders and streamers to an alpha and beta. The feedback you get is minimal and the bug reports are probably less than optimal, with the majority going āhelp, i encountered a bug!ā or āomg bugs!ā instead of making a detailed bug report.
I know itās a āpre-patchā but the pre-patch is affecting the live game.
I made specific reported about the movable bag and resizable maps and such and as usual it was completely ignored, please donāt expect a new Blizzard itās completely the same as before.
Iām also very annoyed by the fact the bag bar and menu are not moveableā¦
I hope they will change this soon cause if not iām gonna be using Elvui again.
This is the worst change in wow , as long i can rememberā¦imo
Thank you blizzard , on the path to auto destruction
How to scale minimap? It is still huge even minimun ui scale.
How to hide talking head and tooltip?
Guess we still need lots of addons to do simple things
-white noise-
They are moveable not resizable.
edit: scrap that - yea its barely visible but I found it thanks man.
Iām someone who never had patience to configure Elv UI. For someone like me I think this new wow UI is going to be a nice thing.
For someone like you who is used to another UI, not so much.
Iāve read that the downloadble addon UIās have more options than the wow one so just stick with what you are comfortable with
Lol⦠as someone whos been on beta, i had no bugs with the new HUD, while i dont think its good enough to replace ElvUI, it is a step in the right direction.
Well, not entirely true⦠had one bug at the beginning but that was fixed in some build, bars kept rescaling to 100% after every relogā¦
And get a grip dude⦠you actually think the beta testers have played beta for months with a ui that doesnt work and, and not reported it, and thats why it doesnt work for you? o.0
Neither did I, never used a UI add-on.
Thing I donāt have the patience to configure the new UI either. Not seen it yet, too scared to log in.
I donāt know who this change is aimed at. Those who want funcy UI customisation have a bunch of Add-Ons - Elv, Bartender, BagOn and whatever else.
Those of us who donāt want loads of customisations were perfectly fine with what we had.
I will likely need to investigate add-ons now. I see one mentioned called ClassicUI but it is stil in development.
Would be nice to be able to:
I have a firm grip. A firm grip on reality, that is.
I donāt think, i know. Having been a game tester for years and been paid per bug report, iāve seen what people (The majority of invited, random testers) typically do during alphas and betas. Theyāre called ājoyridersā for a reason.
Some might report a few bugs but the majority does not. Some might give valuable feedback, the majority does not, simply because their mentality is āIām not getting paid for thisā⦠Thatās why the majority are referred to as ājoyridersā. Then there are those who encounter bugs in the alpha or beta, who whine and complain about bugs to /1 general chat, while playing the alpha or beta, then there are those who simply proceed to the forums to complain about them, instead of filing a proper bug report or give actual feedback.
This is also why some bugs slip through and make it into release.
A step that has taken them what, 18+ years to take?
As with many bugs in video games, some experience them. Some to a greater extent, some to a lesser extent, while others donāt encounter any āissuesā.
I really donāt understand why the distance between buttons canāt be lowered (itās still a huge gap even with minimal padding).
Also an option to hide the useless borders would be nice.
Any way to resize the talking head?
This is what we get when Q4 earnings > finished game. Absolutely horror.
Why go through all this trouble to revamp the entire UI and then released unfinished product? This is plainly just idiocracy.
U can resize chat - use edit mode and click the chat triangle
I have none of the issues u stated
