Newbie Shadow Priest questions

Hello. First of sorry about my english. I’m just started lvling my priest he is currently 58 lvl. I’m learning how to play a caster. I watch some pvp videos and im confused.

1- Every dead in bg or open world im rebuffing my self it’s okay but everytime pushing shadow form. And sometimes forgetting push shadow form. There is any solution keep me always in shadow form?

2- As i said first time playing caster and my all keybind already full. Cuz of focus target keybinds. And still some spells not binded yet. Also I cant see anyone using some spells in pvp. Someone tell me pls how often using this spells in PvP. Dispel Magic and Purify Disease - If those are useless im not going to bind them even i will not put my skill bar.

3- Fake cast how important for SP? sometimes i’m trying to fake cast in pvp (low lvl bg) and they are not even using their kick and im feeling wasting time for 10 seconds trying to fake them.

4- How you guys see future of SP. I dont want be healer. And im worry about if sp get hard nerf there is only 2 spec left both healer

Heya, it’s DEVs fail to activate shadow form every time, instead to be default. I am angry on this too.

About fake cast, it’s, good for other casters. We are trained and have worse mobility in game and eat all the mele damage, that they can produce. We need support versus mele a lot.

Dispels are major for us, but expensive, need to learn, when to use them, what to dispel and what try to outheal.

dispel is dirt cheap now. and depending on what you are dispelling can easily be worth the global over the dmg shadow brings.

i.e. dispelling a hpalas divine favour is worth more than a mind blast or void bolt.

1. You can always use shadow form while mounting. So do it manually or make a macro. This is just something you have to get used to and see what works for you. Personally I have it bound to a key bind since I’m used to that. Back in the day if you started healing you left shadowform.

2. Get used to more key bindings. There are countless of key combinations. I personally play a lot of classes and have been playing this game since vanilla. I’ve never had a too shortage of key binding combinations. It’s hard at start but once it becomes mind-muscle connection you’re not even thinking about it anymore.

3. Fake casting is important for every caster and healer. But it’s something you need to get used too. Yes, some people are “bad” and wont use their interrupt, so you can fake all you want but they never use it anyway. It’s a feel thing. Keep an eye on people how they move. If they move their character with key turning I’m expecting to be able to not fake cast.
   Also there is like a sweet spot for fake casting. Interrupt your cast too soon and melees will wait till the end of your cast to interrupt. At the end it’s all a mind game and you’ll get better at it.

4. I personally think SP is one of the nicer to play casters because of their toolkit. You ask for its future and cant really tell you much about it. It can go any direction but I never think classes get their feel back like they did In the past.
