Hi, I have recently bought the dragonflight upgrade with a character boost. I created a level 1 troll mage and boosted it to 60, but now I can’t login to it and get memory crashes when I try
I can log in to all my other characters but not this one.
Character name is Icynads-Draenor on EU servers.
Well since you get memory crashes, can you tell us what’s your hardware specifications?
I only get the crash when trying to log into this newly 60 boosted character. Every other character is fine and logs in perfectly.
What @Chronormi is trying to find out is the specs of your machine. You were quite specific in saying you had a ‘memory crash’. What do you mean by this ?
In any event, the usual things to try are:
- Try resetting your User Interface. You can see how to do this here:
- Try using the character ‘unstuck’ service. You can do this here:

I have done the character unstuck and it is showing the char in Durotar. But the login just hangs and then wow crashes. No memory error now just a crash. No other issues logging onto any other characters
Did you reset the user interface as well as per the first thing to try in my post ?
As an experiment, try creating another new character and log in with it (you don’t need to boost it) and see what happens ?
Let us know the results of both of those ideas ?
As Deliria says, this is likely a UI-level issue as all addons will be active on newly created characters compared to your others where some may be off. Please try disabling all addons, then resetting your games UI. to it’s defaults.
