Next expansion features

So looking back at WoWs history, typically, not always but typically, the rythm of new content is: Race/s,Class,Race/s,Class,etc.

So seeing as we are on the trend to recieve a new class in midnight, my questions are these:

  1. Doesn’t the game have enough classes?
  2. If we get a new class will it be void themed like I assume the expansion will be or completely seperate?
  3. If we get a void themed class wouldn’t that clash with shadow priest a bit?
  4. Why not get new specs that are void themed instead of adding class bloat, like a shadow paladin or a Corrupted Warrior spec, maybe even a insane by shadow demon hunter to finally give them their third spec?

If you have any opinions or answers to the questions I’d love to hear them, oh and I hope you all are having a great morning/day!

We just had Race and Class together, so who knows what’s next?

I believe hero talents are a replacement for the new class thing.

Well yeah but it wasnt really a new race cause it was only able to be that class, but when they expand it, absolutely, could definetely throw the balance off. Or it could be making up for shadowlands having not given us anything.

maybe, but then how woould we proceed, more rows in the next epansion or what do you imagine?

I can’t wait for Dracthyr to get more classes. I can’t wait for all races to get paladins. I’d like to see that before a new race or class, but that has nothing to do with what you asked. Assuming Earthen qualifies as the Race before Class in this case, I would have to say that it will either be the long-awaited-by-some Tinker (nope, engineering is a profession) or more likely something very Elven.

Blizzard have a way of completely disregarding what players want (yes, Diablo IV, I am looking at you and your lack of crusader/paladin!!!) and making up something nobody has even thought of, so I’m going with that. The next class will be something completely offbeat.

Really, though, I’m struggling to come up with any concepts that don’t borrow from existing classes. Void theme could be a great cosmetic for personal spell effects, if they’d like to invent that kind of system instead.

I really don’t like new classes but I do love new races or race/class combos.

Imagine expanding on “Hero” talents, with sub specs to other class core abilities? :smiley:

Priest with Stealth, Paladin with Chain Lightning, Hunter with Imps, Monk with Charge, etc. :stuck_out_tongue:

Would be an interesting take but I feel like people might have a problem with that
