Something to do with time dragons and the dragon isles?
The Dragon Isles are a location few have heard of, and which fewer have been to, according to [Wrathion] Wrathion is searching for the isles but other dragons have not been forthcoming in information

There won’t be a next expansion. No one is going to fall for the new expansion cinematic bait it’ll be even worse than Bfa

The next expansion will probably have something to do with the Dragon Isles, or we are going to go and fight Void Lords.
That’s my prediction.
Late August 2020. No idea what the story would be, but it will suck.

Classic vs live. Azshara/nzoth open a tear in space on the brink of them losing to us. Both worlds which normally run parallel, start to merge. Only one planet can survive. Which results in the alliance and horde making a permanent alliance. (Idea stolen from “fringe”)
Seriously though, god knows. All ready rumours/theories of horde and alliance, properly joining together for next expansion. Gonna need a seriously powerful enermy, to combat the entire azeroth united.
Next expansion will be all about dismantling Horde and Alliance, few minor alliances here and there will be present but overall the world will become FFA basing on our decisions / reputations.
if the horde and the alliance join forces tho would we need a new faction to fight against and i guess play as? since the whole faction war thing is one of the biggest parts of wow…
it could be faction light. Apart from PvP there’s never been a great focus on the faction conflict. They dont need to drop it just brush it under the carpet.
I dont know but honestly at this point i dont give a damn thing about the next expansion if the game keep following this road. I would rather see this company bankcorrupt then watch another sacrilage against WoW.

Don’t know what it will be and don’t much care, don’t know what theme and don’t really care, will be announced at Blizzcon this year, my personal hopes are that it will do something about the appalling class design, tone down titanforging and bring much needed changes to loot in pvp.

How is it a big part of it if every single time and every single Xpac they join forces ?
It makes 0 sense.
.Remove LFR
.Remove LFD
.No flying
.No titanforging
.Make mythic+ cosmetic not penultimate source of loot in the game.
.Daily quests > world quests
.New class/classes
.Shorter raids but more raids in a tier. AKA instead one 12 boss raid, a 5 boss. a 5 boss and a 2 boss for an example. Can be any combo of raid lengths.
.PvP vendor
.New GOOD BG or world pvp zone
.Reverse the pruning!
.Old world content
.Remove CRZ and merge dead realms
in light of the store mount debate, I wouldn’t mind them if they ALSO made cool mounts for the game and also if the game was good like WotLK/TBC good I wouldn’t mind.
Depending on what the end boss of this expansion is, I reckon it’ll either be Void themed, if we don’t deal with them this xpac, or a return to dealing with The Scourge.
If the next one is Void, then the one after that will almost certainly be about The Scourge. Personally I don’t wanna see a new expansion. What I would like to see is WoW 2.
New design. New graphics. New classes. New storyline. New skills. New mobs
If something could save WoW, it would be WoW 2.
Yes, it means you loose your characters, money and other staff. But if WoW 2 was worth playing, I would defenetily risk all and begin a new chapter in a brand new game.
We all did it in 2004. So, why not to do the same in 2021 or 2022?

Better class design. Move away from the failed “uniqueness” class design philosophy which e.g. took away Displacer Beast from druid.

Last time I cared about the story was in WCIII, so idk.
Next expansion will feature epic new features… like
- more worldquest
- more dailyquest
- more simliar quests to jumping jelly
- more grinding
- timegated worldquest (releasing 1 quest/day)

It’ll be a bolvar lich king expansion. I’m getting bored of all of these larger than life titan seedling mega world destroyer 5000 guys.
Archimonde destroyed a city by drawing on some sand and these bosses we are fighting now are even bigger and badder and they’re gonna make us believe those guys couldn’t just spit on us and we’d disintegrate? Please.
We need an expansion where the big bad is just a regular dummy with a sword and a hat, like bolvar.
