Since chatGPT is so hot right now, I think it would be a great tool for wow. Probably a bit late for the current game but if they ever plan on making a “wow2”.
Think about it… npcs would have a set personality, abilities and restrictions based on which you could communicate with them via text or voice chat, and they would reply respectfully, even with voice lines! Everything could be voice acted. Ask them “where is this cave/ these monsters?” and they would answer in a unique way. You could possibly even ask a guard or random adventurer (temporary follower would be cool) to come with you for free or a fee and assist you on your journey.
The interaction and gameplay experience would be on a whole new level.
You think we’re going to see this sort of AI implemented in the future of wow?
