The more damage you do, the less of the mechanics you’ll have to repeat.
True, but “much easier” is a hyperbole.
Ultimately there are alwyays going to be things you can’t do through no direct fault of your own. It’s not a reasonable expectation that challenge content should always be made less challenging to cater to those who can’t do it.
I agree with what you say. Issue is that that was not what I was talking about.
I was adressing someone else’s tone and delivery. Asking for people to talk to, rather than talk down to others shouldn’t be a high bar.
Yet here we are…
Would be less of a trigger for my ADD and Autism-issues if it had less blinking / flashing.
Oh well… ![]()
trigger warning for my eyes its annoying due to my spells are void then brand puts a big healing thing and you want to guess the thing its impossible at that speed.
The only issue I have came across myself, is the ‘‘frontal’’ you need to face. To me it looks like I am facing her face to face, straight, but according to her, I’m not. Not sure how I can fix this issue myself - the mechanics are not hard to dodge, at all, is just the hitbox, specially as guardian druid. Gonna try with a toy or something to change form , se if that makes it more easier to see where I am facing.
the coders should make so your boddy is yellow in that fight so you can see your self.
Maybe this one could help to face the Dark Massacre clones: wago. io/HSQVq_2WV
THANK YOU. OH MY GOD I WAS GOING INSANE.
Seriously?!
This is probably one of WoW’s worst fights ever. It doesn’t even matter whether it’s fun or not, you can’t have 2 mechanics depend on UI or graphics settings. What a load of garbage.
I got wrecked twice because I have both of these settings different from what they need to be - so the fight was completely opaque to me. There didn’t seem to be any way whatsoever to defeat it.
EDIT: Got the ? version in 40 minutes after changing my settings.
The fight was repetitive and mediocre, and this settings issue makes it the worst fight of the expansion.
It’s just a bunch of perfectly executed hoops you gotta jump. Your damage output is basically irrelevant and Brann loves to leap with his portal next to you, causing deaths. It’s actually so bad.
Time for the ?? one I guess. Get it over with.
EDIT 2: BRANN LITERALLY JUST PULLED THE BOSS WHILE I WAS AFK?!
Oh my god this game…
EDIT 3: Oh great, now they’re bugging out so multiple shadows are attacking me at the same time… Resetting.
Alright it’s fixed now.
EDIT 4: Engine can’t keep up with facing requirement. You have to be at least 400ms ahead of schedule.
Also, EVERYTHING is a 1-shot.
WoW’s engine wasn’t built to handle things like this. It’s unfortunate I can’t post expletives right now. ![]()
This is the worst fight in WoW. Not even a contest.
EDIT 5: Using Frozen Orb during the part where you need to face enemies is an automatic death sentence. You can’t see them - too much visual noise.
EDIT 6: The boss can actually kill me with melee attacks now but Brann keeps dropping all the potions in Africa. Worse still, several of my defensives make enough visual noise that I can’t see the things I have to face.
This is the worst fight in WoW. Ever. It’s not even a contest. I know I’ve already said this but I’ll repeat it. Closing the forums now and ranting in peace.
>:(
yeah or something to make yourself glow or something when you are facing her, because the angle is so specific it seems. I gave it a couple tries, and meh, might be my MS as well. But it is what it is, not like I ever gonna use the mount.
this reminds me of
don’t you guys have phones XD
but i agree its hot garbonk.
adding a tank fight to something that should be a everyone thing that was delvs designed from the start but i guess blizzard rolled back on that.
It would all be fine if not the shades visibility. For someone with serious sight issues it’s really nearly impossible to do.
Brann’s abilities that pops during massacre doesn’t help either, covering entire screen. I wish there was a way to disable it, new option for spell density doesn’t include Brann.
Shades spawning one on top of another is another issue.
Feels like this encounter was tested by people with perfect eye sight, accessibility here is extremely poor.
Make shades blue/white and see how it helps lot of people.
Speaking of accessibility, I finally know what color blindness feels like. On the last boss in Eco-Dome I run into the trouble of having a purple line with a purple shade on top and a purple arrow pointing it out to me just in case I can’t see it on top of a floor with grey and purple shades.
Even with a 32 inch 4K OLED is tricky to spot.
Im never going to be able to do this one, PURELY because of all the blinking.
I did the past ?? ones with learning + effort.
Here it’s 100% just the overload of blinking that messes me up randomly, I know the tactics, I know how to turn, I know how to avoid, I know how to place a circle, I can even follow the “Know me”-mechanic somewhat…
But this is going on WHILE the Massacre is happening; needing pixel perfect turning AND having SOOO MUCH blinking going on; this is just torture.
Sad that a fight was made 100% against people with these issues.
It’s not a skill issue, it’s a health issue, sadly.
Waving bye to that mount reward, and thanking blizz for making something so horrible for people with these issues.
Accessibility adapting the game, no.
Nevermind disabilities - in many cases it’s impossible to see. I actually measured it yesterday when I finally stopped ranting in here for 5 minutes.
One of the attacks was shown in a total of 14 pixels out of the 8.294.400 pixels on my screen.
Why? Visual noise from my class’ spells and Brann and an unfortunate spawn location for the mob right on top of the boss completely drowned it out.
Blizzard have utterly lost the plot.
Its just a spit in the face to their “Making WoW more Accesible”-tone.
Arachnophobia to Crabs (Sea Spiders) ? – Sure!
Actual visual quality, not same color on top of same color ? — Nope!!
Speed eyes required? — Absolutely, screw everyone with any issues.
It’s 100% tonedeaf to any issues.
Should challenge content not pose a challenge? Or is it only allowed to specifically challenge aspects of gameplay you can do.
I have wrist issues that makes flicking for the clones much harder than other things in this game, and that’s fine. Bliz made a piece of challenge content that challenges a skill I haven’t or can’t easily develop. Not everything is made to be beaten by everyone.
It’s a video game.
It’s supposed to be beatable by everyone.
Of course it should, but this fight is very weird.
It’s extremely simple - it just repeats itself over and over. Or, well, it’s simple once you can actually see the graphics after having made two modifications to your graphics settings lol.
But the tuning is such that you need to repeat the whole thing 8 or so times, and if you miss even a single thing or you get overwhelmed by visual noise even once, you just plain die instantly to almost 100 million damage.
Many of the mistakes you can make aren’t even your fault. It can be some procs or a bad positioning of some ability, and you just plain die.
Accessibility isn’t even the problem here; it’s not accessible to people with normal vision. No eye can see what’s obscured.
I’m starting to wonder if I can use my VR goggles for 3D vision (which is supported by WoW btw) to make it easier to see as things won’t get covered.
Once I have to think along these lines you know it’s broken…
No, the hardest part of a video game is not designed to be beatable by everyone. It’s fine that there are things you can’t do.
But this is far beyond a fight you can’t do because you can’t see properly. This fight’s just plain messing with you and it’s beyond unforgiving even as it does.
Imagine making a fight that involves 6 one-shot mechanics in 6 seconds. Are they for real…
