Blood elves had to rebuild after the undead entirely pillaged the whole place. So night elves can too.
I wouldn’t call living in a husk of a spaceship a capital, per say. Lorewise it is supposedly restored, of course. But still… it’s not exactly meant to be a ‘city’, more of a makeshift city at best. It would have been great if Draenei could have their old Shattrath back, the one we visited during WoD was amazing.
Still, each of the races had to rebuild their home.
Gilneans have yet to rebuild theirs. Night elves will have to wait their turn.
Pretty sure we’ll see it at some point.
As for your ‘pride’ issue, I don’t see that. It’s just to give players something cool and something that helps diversify the races a bit more.
Night Elves have plenty of ruins around Darkshore that they can rebuild. Hell, Mathystra, Bashal’Aran and Ameth’Aran could easily be rebuilt and joined together to create one large city.
Aye, there are plenty of options. And I suppose since Gilneans and kaldorei have grown so close they might as well rebuild a home together. In a more serious fictional world I wouldn’t see it happening as the ‘generational gap’ between thousands of years old elves and cursed humans would be too big of a deal but seeing as its WoW why not
The Night Elves have been pooped on since Classic, and this is something I and many others have been pointing out for years. I do miss the “savages” we were introduced to in Warcraft III.
The heritage armor will probably look nice, but there’s very little for night elves to be proud of anymore.
Well, what would be green orc heritage armor? Some people say it is one from WoD from Garrisons but it clearly says on it “Orgrimmar” so, it’s a transmog of a city, not a race.
While there are many nelf players ingame the population of living night elves isn’t actually that impressive anymore. I daresay nelfs are near extinct.
I somehow doubt that, for the simple reason that I don’t think there will be a robe version. No robe version ruins the heritage sets for me greatly, when I have casters of said races. Good riddance my dwarf is a warrior, because their heritage armor look like a warrior set.
I’ve got a tiny bit of hope there, but because of a lot of visual design choices the last year when it comes to gear, I’d rather see them wait with creating the nighelven heritage armor until most other races, if not all, got theirs. I don’t want them designing it with the mindset the set designers seems to be sitting on right now, because it’s very melee oriented, and for a caster person like me, it ruins a lot of the feel.
Yeah, they did it for for the bloodelves, but that seemed more like an exception than anything else, if you look at the other races.
That said, the worgens are getting a robe version too(? - Maybe they finallly realized how melee oriented they have been?), but the rest of the races besides the bloodelves(obvious caster race) and the nightborne(another obvious caster race) got pants and no other option.
Looking at the nightelves, they are probably getting some sentinel armor, which will be… pants. Unless they finally realize that other races have casters too, besides the two elven races on the horde side. They even removed Tyrande’s robe and made it a plate looking set with pants(?!). I really don’t have much hopes I’ll ever be getting a decent choice of caster gear again, besides old items from previous expansions(aka robes in my opinion).
