Night elf Paladins!

a paladin need to make an oath to something.
i dont see a reason why they cant be. they can use the void for their advantage.

Except me, I would chase them with my flamethrower.

They are made of void. They are polar opposites on a cosmic scale. The Light either cleanses them or rips them apart. So they could not be Paladins.

They could be a class that plays like a paladin but doesnt utilize the light however.

ah wait, you mean LIKE a paladin ?

there are types of evil paladins and such they can do. not all paladins utilize the light.

Call them what one wants. As long as they dont utilize the Light for Void Elfs (aka class skin) im all for it because of lore reasons.

We have priests tho… who can heal with the power of the light…

I thought I am playing an elf who is (sadly) part of the Alliance  so class should depend on your faction now?

A Paladin is first and foremost far more connected to the light than a priest could ever hope to be. Also gameplay =/= lore if the class has other options available (which paladins dont). So just like every forsaken in the lore your priest could very well be shadow. A paladin however only utilizes the Light and nothing else and again on a far bigger level than a priest.

the races of world of warcraft are spread all over azeroth on different tribes and towns/cities.

the PLAYABLE races belong to a very specific tribe.
the playable forsaken are those who were ressurected by sylvanas/her replacement.

I’ll wait for the day when forsaken priests will scream in agony as soon as they touch the light. I’ll wait for the day when we do the same once our racial pops up.

Undeads are not part of the Cosmic Power that is the Void. Also forsaken are in fact already screaming in agony when they are healed by light and one of the reasons why they chose no to wield it but that aside.

We need less Night Elves and Blood elves. They are everywhere and i dont like them:)

Never heard in game… neither the whispers and the demon inside me when I played a demon hunter

Pandaria Paladins

Forsaken source: Bloodsworn as well as ex community manager Nyorloth

Demon Hunters: Different cosmic force again.

The game doesn’t cater to pure lore based little nuances that would give flavour to classes…

Here, this is the whole point everyone just wants to deny.

Mmmm… guys someone already made a fan Design for paladin skins and lore for non-paladin races. “Click here

But as we know how blizzard handles things these days i don’t think we will see any of these in the coming days nor in the future.

This has nothing to do with flavours. If you dont pay attention to the lore then you can scrap the story all together. As i said you can have a class skin that doesnt utilize the light as a Velf. Its also not my problem that your knowledge on lore is limited.

The nelf paladin in question went from being a priestess of elune to a paladin of the silver hand. That’s not just priest picking up a weapon and armour, that’s a hard cultural shift, stepping out of the role of priesthood of your own culture to go worship another deity entirely. She’s not a good example as to why night elf paladins make sense.

All classes for all races just sounds weird, why would you want that request unless you never plan on rolling anything but a single race? S’what it feels like to me.
I have a troll druid, a blood elf paladin, forsaken priest etc etc. I like how some of these classes are just not available for the other races and how there’s a bit of extra lore behind specific class/race combo’s.
Having separation in some of the class/race combo’s is honestly soulful, to break down those constructions would just flatten the lore into a more expansive but just downright boring flat gray blob

Void elves likely have it worse now then even forsaken, because they’re (light & void) actually direct opposite forces.
Blizzard had the system in the past where forsaken priests couldn’t use any light based abilities, turned out this was bad game design, so the compromise was to relent on lore reasons why some class/race combo’s weren’t justified in the lore but really had to exist for the sake of the game to actually just work on a mechanical level.

She has an ability called Seal of Elune and literally yells “For Elune” if you assign her to a mission.

She is also known to be the First night elf paladin ever.
As a priest she also had a pet and used bow and arrow like a hunter FYI.
