I mean, I do not expect it to give me 200iLevel item, or even 180. However, 3 fish or 6 soul dust?
It’s so bad that it is literally not worth the time to even go to the portal, plant the seed and return in 3 days.

Thats because you need to invest in upgrades heavily to get anything remotely worth while. Just like everyone else with anima in covenants.
It’s bad design because like stated in the OP, the rewards are not worth the time it takes to go to the area and plant the seeds and then return after 3 days of waiting to collect them.
If it’s not worth the time spent to do it at lvl 1, it means lvl 1 has no point.
@OP i stopped doing them until i upgrade it later, literally no point.
I didn’t say it was a good design, as with everything else its gated behind grinding ‘something’ in this case anima, but its a valid point regardless. Upgrade it and the rewards improve, that isn’t to say you should. I also chose not too, but likely might end up doing so further down the hill just to complete it.
How can you not be excited to wait half a week for 5 vigils torch?
For me all my anima has been spent on upgrading my gear, I can now choose to buy mogs or upgrade my sanctum. I have no clue which to pick because aside from further mogs I may not even want, what do we get out of it? Not much…
So spending anima on upgrading such things like my Ember Court? Nope. Gotta cut the cost by 10 or up the availability.

You need to add catalysts to make the reward worth the time. Catalysts only become available at r2.
Right now just see it as a fire and forget that gives you free stuff for nothing. The other Covenants have to work hard to get their thing and then the reward they get for it is abstract.
Well but upgrading the Ember Court will also reward you will transmog, pets and mounts so in the long run you are getting more stuff from investing your anima there instead of buying stuff directly.

Ye just do the 1000 anima for the soul and hoard them untill you upgrade it. No point in using them on lvl 1
It’s worthless until later levels, after I’ve gotten another cov thing lvl 3’d I’ll start upgrading it.
Save all your seeds until you have the place at like at least lvl 3, otherwise you’re just wasting them.
I upgraded mine to lvl 2 and got a soulshape from one of the seeds.
Now I can be a frickin racing turtle and make it to the water.

Sounds almost as fun as sending a team of level 35 followers on a level 24 mission where they all get beaten down to 5% health and it gives you 4 Death Blossoms as a reward.

Yeah so at this point I will probably go for sanctum upgrades to unlock things I want more. It’s kinda difficult to pick. I want to upgrade my mirror network but I also want a shield mog to complete my set. It takes me 4 days to get enough anima for a shield mog… such a slog… so expensive… that’s a third of my count to upgrading my mirror network!
For the first time I agree queen’s conservatory is garbage… their is no other way around and only when we reach lmax level with conservatory we may get some mounts from those seeds and other cosmetic rewards but other then that its total trash. woohoo i just waited 3 days or 2 if you used catalyst for 4 pieces of fish or herbs or whatever… worthless to the core
3 days for like 6 cloth.
I did a few seeds, gave up caring about it.
It’s a shame too. I remember watching Preach’s videos and he said the gardening wasnt too bad compared to the others. I dont see how that could be the case.
