Honestly I just assumed this was the norm. I’ve made transmogs, then scrambled for ideas as to how a character can use them ahaha
Peace taking the shape of Orgrimmar as a giant compost heap comes to mind.
now why would they want to attack an Alliance city?
I imagine Night elves can make it up for themselves. They have to choose, as well. Shandris even hinted at this before the Shadowlands expansion, when she asked Tyrande to let go of her anger and the NW power and return to the light of Mother Moon.
So I imagine night elves with these dark eyes will have to make that choice.
My night elf will keep the black eyes for now. I have no plans of having her choose renewal at this moment, so we’ll see what comes of it.
can’t wait for the black eyes vs normal eyes 2.0 discourse in any conflict between night elves
‘waa u choose anger now we can’t rebuild waa!!!’
‘waa u choose renewal u just hug orcs waa!!!’
thought we broke the cycle or whatever the things were in bfa
You thought our suffering was over?
Jaded laughter
Alas, this is mainly due to the story team focusing on the big flashy moments without actually going back and addressing what should be obvious questions that the story raises. What happened to Arathi? So what’s gonna happen with Gnomeragan? Mechagon… So are we rebuilding it? What about the Vulpera, they gonna build their own place in Orgrimmar now they’re settled? And how are things going with the Sethrak these days?
We should have had a tonne of exposition at the end of many points of recent expansions, not only through text but also through world phasing to show peaceful zones for us to enjoy. Because of the lack of this, Azeroth has felt less and less like a world and more like a collection of differently themed areas to kill things in for a while now.
This is why I like Final Fantasy XIV, unlike WoW there’s post main story content that actually delves into the aftermath of the expansion’s key events, where we can go back to the areas we’ve visited, see how things are there and actually aid in the rebuilding work. Case in point, there are two areas we work in in both Shadowbringers and Stormblood where we go back post MSQ and actually work to rebuild the places we’ve gone to. Imagine if we’d had that in WoD where we built out Shattrath into a thriving multi-racial capital for all of Draenor, or if we’d actively rebuilt the Vale of Eternal Blossoms post Garrosh and N’zoth, all the while having some of the main players from the main story who are native to the area accompanying us and giving us more details on what was happening.
Ah, for what could have been…
I still firmly belive, Elves are sponges and soak up and kind of power or radiation, void, light, fel, arcane, and so on and “mutate” or at least change accordingly
The Night Elves witnessed the ritual soaked up the power of the Black Moon Well/Elune/Night Warior Ritual residue “radiation” and changed parmanently in the process in the form of the pitchblack eyes
Of course this is only my theory (in game theory actually, Thalaara likes study such things and came up with this Elves are sponges , tho’ keeping it for herself )
Maybe this is just my personal headcanon, but I would love this to be confirmed.
Night Elves who have the black eyes were present at the ritual. But the process of removing them is a personal one. They need to let go of the grief and hatred in their hearts through whatever means, and time. Eventually, they change back once the spell is ‘broken’, and their rage is lifted.
Worgen were present during that ritual… would be nice to have some UFO eyes
Or, like the OG worgen, Worgen-Nightelves…
#AlphaPrimeDidNothingWrong
unfortunately worgen are not magimetamorphs like elves are
have you tried eating some black moon elves? that might do it
