Preach it, sister!

Hardly all. Some are, like Elisande and Thalyssra, but I imagine the age of the average nightborne is all over the place. There are children in Suramar, after all.
They’re not Day Warriors, I tell ya hwat.
What Night Elf army?
God yes.
Almost all of the Horde troops had obeyed his command. The night elves had stepped back as well because, yes, they were not fools. That confirmed Saurfang’s suspicions. Where is he? Where is the trap?
Saurfang searched the dark woods for a sign.
There.
In the distance stood a silhouette backlit by beams of moonlight—a single elf, feathers on his arms and antlers on his head, eyes glowing in the darkness. One by one, the other Horde soldiers caught sight of him.
Reinforcements arrived from across the river. Saurfang issued orders without looking away. “Magi to the left, warlocks to the right, shaman with me. Hold!”
They obeyed, finding their positions and holding fast. Still, the elf in the distance did not move. For one minute . . . two minutes . . . three . . . nothing moved.
Saurfang was patient. Others were not. “Lok‐tar ogar!”
Saurfang’s head snapped to the right. The cry had come from a small squad of orc warriors some distance away, still wet from crossing the river to the north. They had spotted the elf and were charging in.
“To me! Rally to me!” Saurfang bellowed.
Too late. The elf’s eyes shifted toward the orcs. The forest of Ashenvale came alive. The fullthroated war cries of the orcs were cut off. There were no screams, no thrashing, no prolonged combat—simply a flurry of movement in the darkness, and then the sound of armored bodies hitting the ground.
The elf hadn’t even lifted a finger. Such was his command of nature. His eyes locked once again onto Saurfang, and his voice carried easily through the trees. “This is not your land, High Overlord,” Malfurion Stormrage said.
Well, here’s a question then… what do you want all these people to do? Should they just run off to Darkshore or Ashenvale solo and start picking off peaceful Horde caravans like common bandits?
Because now that the war is over, they won’t get any support: not from the Alliance, not even from many of the Kaldorei. And they would be fighting against an enemy who are making no more hostile moves against them and whose leader has since changed… the person they’re mad at isn’t even around anymore. Should they just go into Ashenvale or Silverpine and start murdering Horde randomly because rawr vengeance!! ?
They can’t go after Sylvanas, because she’s presumably hiding somewhere, or possibly already on her way to Northrend. Sooo… what should they do?
Yeah
I believe the BGs are still going IC - at least AV is described as “still raging to this day” or w/e in the anniversary quests
Ion also mentioned that battles will be on-going / the Horde & Alliance remain as rivals, it’s just not on a world war scale
Feels like you’re making an IC post on an OOC forum thread. Are you roleplaying that your character has constructed a laptop IC and is writing this
Characters can be evil / misguided / delluded and can push for an agenda that we the players know is wrong
Ain’t this what the -Dirge of Teldrassil- does?
Correct me if I’m wrong.
What do you base this on, if I may ask? We don’t really have a word on this.
In 8.3 it is mentioned Sentinels are being sent out to look for her.
Yes. Tyrande didn’t sign any armistice agreement for a reason.
The Horde is still the Horde. Sylv didn’t burn down the tree on her own, and the Horde didn’t oust her for Teldrassil. The reverse is true.
Tyrande says they’re gonna dispatch Sentinels to hunt for Sylv. But their quarry isn’t just Sylv.
Kill the Horde, duh? They are responsible for burning down Teldrassil, after all!
This. There’s another 1-2 dialogues where night elf NPCs voice their disgruntlement with the peace treaty and the Horde simply being forgiven. If not explicitly said, I do remember it being at least implied.
And yeah, Tyrande didn’t sign the treaty, essentially giving Anduin the finger.
Yeah, because it is their ancestral homeland and they haven’t received Alliance aid in DS/Ashenvale since the beginning (only Gilnean). The Alliance has never helped them in this war, only indirectly by giving shelter and assaulting Zuldazar.
Also; I think Jaina stated that there are still pockets of fighting left; Ashenvale/Darkshore might be one of those.
I think that was after Saurfang got his behind whooped by Sylvanas during their Mak’gora?
Not only that, but they would have seen Saurfang (the guy who ostensibly led the attack on Ashenvale/ Teldrassil & almost killed Malfurion) recieve the full Alliance army backing him up when he needed it
Pretty crazy to think that in Anduin’s Alliance orcs get priority over night elves no wonder Tyrande is mad
Yeah, she also mentions some will not understand and will not want to stop “the cycle”, but they will have to learn and do some at some point. This peace treaty is far from stable, and it is really vexxing to see some RPers see this as a law everyone bows to and if they break it they’re going to be detained by King Anduin himself for treason.
/y SHUT UP! I HOPE ASHENVALE BURNS NEXT, WHY WOULD YOU KEEP FIGHTING - WE HAVE A PEACE AGREEMENT! TRAITOR!
Lord Magmathar is that you
King Anduin sends inquisitors across the land, violently detaining anyone who breaks the treaty where they disappear from sight, never to be seen again.
I can actually see Blizzard do this; and because its their High-King HolyBones doing it, its cool because his bones will hurt if he does wrong, so it must be the right thing to do…
Also of note, there isn’t actually a peace, or peace treaty, at all. It’s an unspoken armistice right now, and 8.3 will make it a formal armistice. Not a peace, an armistice. Big difference.
