Nightborne allied unlock

Im a returning player and i kinda wanted to do nightborne, but i realized that i am not eligible for the quest because i have not completed the insurrection achievement/quest line in suramar and when i investigated this a bit i realized this is a huge effort just to the point that i can start the allied race quest line.

So my question here is, as the reputation requirements were removed from other allied races, is the insurrection requirement for the allied quest chain being reconsidered as well by blizzard? I mean as it is it is way bigger investment compared to other allied races.

Wowhead updated their guide just a week ago, and Insurrection is still there.

Is Insurrection really that much more work than completing Highmountain for the Tauren? More, yes, but so much more? Was a lot worse during Legion ofc when there were internal gates on progress.

Took me two afternoons do unlock Nightborne, starting from zero. The questline leading up to Insurrection seems a lot, but… it really isn’t any worse than most other. Unlocking Lightforged & Void Elves was much worse, because you can’t fly in Argus, while you can in Suramar.

A lot of the quests are very, very short, and quite a lot of them, you can do in parallel. It just seems long, but frankly, it isn’t any worse than other allied races.

On the other hand, if I hear the phrase “It’s an illusion! What are you hiding?” again, I’m going to hurt someone (likely a nightborne) very, very badly.

It takes more effort to unlock Zandalari and Kul Tirans. Insurrection doesn’t take a lot of time, It has like 9 chapters and most of them are quite short. And to unlock insurection you need to 6 chapters from Good Suramartian, so you don’t have to every single storyline in Suramar.

With Zandalari and Kul Tirans on the other hand on only you need hefty chunk of war campaign but also all of the BfA leveling chapters in each zone.

It’s needed exalted status for that? Because I have done all quest in Suramar with revered status on Nightfallen and I don’t have any other quest for unlocking achieve anywhere.

It does not. You need the Good Suramaritan achievement, and then Insurrection can be started. Good Suramaritan requires plenty of the prior Suramar story.

I’d suggest checking the wowhead guide:

And in particular, their comprehensive Suramar guide, too:

I followed these, starting from 0 quests done in Suramar, and been able to unlock Nightborne in two afternoons. Would’ve been one, but one part required 10 WQs, and I only had 8 available at the time.

Also, the wowhead BfA attunement tracker might be of use, too:

I can not do maybe 5 achievements from good suramaritan cuz i cannot find any quest. And that 5 achievs or parts of that achiev are quest i guess…i found one on wowhead before and that tells me its quest.

And that website BfA attunement tracker shows me achieves incompleted. I had that completed maybe 2 weeks ago. It’s not accurate.

I know how you feel when I was back in Legion in Suramar I almost lost it and wanted to destroy the whole city so I don’t have to hear An illusion what are you hiding.

Maybe a stupid question but can i do the insurrection achievement on an alliance character and do i get the quest line to introduce the nightborne elves on a new horde toon? I don’t think this introduction quest can be done on the alliance toon, right?
I’ve rolled alliance only so far so i was wondering how i would go about this

Yes, that is correct. I did the whole Suramar thing, Insurrection and its prerequisites on this toon, then unlocked Nightborne on my Zandalari troll.

Correct, you need a horde toon to unlock the allied race, it can’t be done on the alliance side.

Thx alot, i’m not really sold on the overall feel of the horde but nightborne elves were one of the races that really were interesting :stuck_out_tongue:
