Nightborne players can't "flip" jump (somersault)?

I'm very confused, I assume it's a bug, since I see there's a thread on the BFA beta forum saying how the Void Elf females lost their spinjump animation (which seems like a bug for various reasons).

So on live, it's obvious my Nightborne female's animations are straight copied from Night Elf females, however my Nightborne female cannot somersault jump? Is this a bug or an oversight, or why? That's by far my favorite thing about nelfs, that they have this flip jump animation randomly when jumping, and that's why I rolled a Nightborne for BFA, but I'm super disappointed that they don't get the spin jump animation for some reason....
Nightborne simply don't flip out. They're posh nobles, not agile tree huggers.

I think the majority of wow players can't somersault. I can barely run to be honest.

Nightborne have spent 10.000 years living under a bubble shield in a city; they've simply lost the agility that Night Elves have.

If you look at their animations compared to Night Elves, you'll notice that their run cycle is slower, clumsier. It's just evolution, honey.

As much as the Nightborne are seen as a Horde-version of Night Elves, it isn't 100% that way. There are differences, and this is one of them.
do they still do the little idle animation (jump/!@#$le') though?

Is this really the reason? Is it even stated anywere or did you pull it out your butt?

It is because they don't have the physique for it, the majority of the common populace of Suramar were teedering on turning wretched. They're much thinner and less defined by actual muscle mass, and more by malnourishment in comparison.
They are too treacherous to flip-jump.

If anything one would assume that would make them more agile... You wouldn't even imagine Orcs somersaulting around, and if anyone, they're defined by actual muscle mass.

I call bs. Nightborne should absolutely have the somersault animation...

By that logic Athletes shouldn't do exercise, they should just starve themselves.

Blood Elves turn around while they're in the air, I can do that now without an issue and I have zero athletic talent. Also, they were readily getting energy from Fel sources, and then from the Sunwell again. Nightborne were given just enough to keep from changing, we had dailies revolving around that. Blood Elves took what they needed to keep going.

Jumping Somersault = Feat of Agility
Turning around while jumping = You can turn around while jumping.

they both are feats of agility,
a lot of people cannot do a 360 spin while jumping.
for me they require equal amounts of energy and direction.

the spin is more disorienting because it's spinning side to side, the somersault is simple because its always face forward

They really, really don't. Otherwise being able to accomplish one would mean you could do the other.

that's a huge extrapolation,

it does not mean that in the slightest
Somersaulting (forward roll jump) is exclusively Night Elf, that said DH can't somersault.
Blood Elf has 'twist jump', but that's the only 2 Races (afaik) that have non-standard 'hurdling' jump.

DH double-jump aside, that is; they're not a Race...
All Elves are created equal, but some are more equal than others.
