Nighthold Quest

So, i’ve been doing the balance of power questline recently. Resuming from where i left off back in Legion. And i have two quests to do, i’ve already finished one which is to get Gul’dan’s eye, now i just need Nightshards. I’ve ran Nighthold two times now once on normal & heroic but none of the bosses are dropping the Immaculate Nightshard Curio. Am i doing something wrong? or am i just being Astronomically unlucky? would appreciate any help with this.

I don’t know, but it must have been asked often enough that there’s a support article about it

Nightshards are not a guaranteed drop from the bosses in Nighthold. There is a chance the bosses will drop none, one, or a Immaculate Nightshard Curio (which can contain multiple shards).

You can only loot Nightshards once per boss on the first kill of the week on normal difficulty or higher AND while being on the quest. Doing Nighthold again on different difficulty settings will not yield more Nightshards. This also means that clearing the Nighthold before starting the quest, will not give you Nightshards anymore during that reset, not even on a different raid difficulty.

Customer Support cannot award shards.

So doing Heroic didn’t help. You have only one chance per boss per week, regardless of difficulty.

Ugh, i wish they’d just up the drop chance even by just a small margin now, cause legion is already over, the raids are irrelevant now aside from tmogs & most people that are in the broken isles are trying to get hidden skins and more colours for fashion. It really isn’t necessary to keep the low drop rates on the shards anymore. I really don’t feel like doing this for weeks on irrelevant content as much as i like & enjoy legion. I would understand if this was tied to a legendary weapon or something, but it isn’t. If they insist on having it like this still, then at least make it so that the Balance of power completion carries over to all of your characters now.
