So… Nitro Boost eng enchant is beeing disabled once again in pvp.
We’ve been down this road before… and disabling one(or more) professions specific enchants without reworking them will cause people to unlearn said profession and pick the most competitive ones…
Why don’t you disable blacksmithing extra sockets and JC special gems for PvP too?? As they will have the upper hand against someone without them…
I’m just asking like i did 15 years ago for the nitro boost enchant not be removed and to be reworked to give more stats or to be changed completely instead of beeing disabled and loose one perk…
You can still have it on your boots and it will give passive 24 crit rating, similar to other enchants. However, the real profession bonus of engineering is the glove enchant. Engineering will still be the best profession when it comes to bursting.
Ask any competitive arena player. Blizzard back in the day said so too. Nitro boots on use effect was too op in arenas, even with the nerfed 2 second duration. Blacksmith and JC have the very same amount of stat bonuses, as other professions. While those two enable a choice of stats, they dont give higher numerical stats than other professions. Engineering will still be better for many arena combs, just because of the pyro hand rocket.
It was the only possible good decision to not add nitro boots to arenas from a competitive point of view. Sure, having op stuff is fun, but its not good for the game. Its not the intended profession bonus either.
Of course its sad to see that Blizzard cant make good decisions on their own and forced players into a profession, they might not have preferred. However, at least they react to massive negative feedback and can correct these poor decisions. This give me hope for other things too, like random battleground queue from anywhere and an adjusted version of RDF. But who knows, we can only hope.
24 crit is better, because 32 ap equals 16 str. str and crit have the same numerical values on gems. It might be that you prefer ap, but your statement is wrong. In pvp you will use the movementspeed enchant anyway.
