i put my addons in the right folder, like always and start World of warcraft but there is no button, And my addons wont load… How to fix this? i just got back from my 6 month World of warcraft break.
What do you consider to be the “right” folder ? The latest changes to the directorystructure involved various directories (including the Interface folder) moving into the _retail_ subdirectory.
So:
If you installed wow to:
C:\games\wow
Then the addon folder is here:
C:\games\wow\_retail_\Interface\AddOns
An addon called ‘NPCScan’ would be stored here:
C:\games\wow\_retail_\Interface\AddOns\NPCScan
And just for reference the executables would be present here:
C:\games\wow\World of Warcraft Launcher.exe
C:\games\wow\_retail_\Wow.exe
This is a Windows-centric example of course, but i’m sure that if you’re on a different OS you can imagine the parallel.
