I know, Worgen are also human, but I’m not so into the wolf form (nor the accent of the human form)
Why can’t plain people be druids?
Gilneans/Worgen are Human
Kul Tirans are Human
Then why can’t it be the basic Human?
The lack of cultural background thus so far they had no one to learn from.
But several years passed since they encountered the art of druidism and had an opportunity to learn, it is justified to be added eventually
Just some time required, like with the Mages, Priest and Warlocks
In time I guess the class will opens up
Blood elf druids were canon in TBC, yet not implemented to this day. I wouldn’t held my hopes high.
Because they simply haven’t created the models yet. I expect it to come whenever they conclude or focus on the emerald dream story on the dragon isles. It’s one of the parts I enjoyed the most in the campaign, but I had to unlock it after a rly insane amount of reputation…
I’m afraid it may still be a long way off.
Kul Tiran druid would be my favorite if he wasn’t so chubby
All race class barriers are starting to be more open.
The problem with Druid is that you need to design models and that takes a while (I think).
As for the idea of human Druids it’s honestly less crazy than a forsaken Druid. So I don’t see issue with it.
Also…. Hear me out…. pandaren Druid.
Oh yes they take soooo much effort to create new models… /s
Literally all the base races forms are recolors with some horns or mane stick with glue, the only exceptions are Zandalari and Kul Tiran (to a degree).
And don’t get me started on Dracthyr unable to wear armor…
Well, they don’t spend a lot of time making something unique.Nor is the content itself. New zone with old dungeons.
You can get new mounts, recolored…
Used to be due to lore implications. Up until I think cataclysm if a race did not have a connection to the emerald dream they could not learn how to answer the call of nature. There is only a single human who does, but I do not think Blizzard expanded on his lore for a long time now.
A similar situation we have with other races as well, though I have a feeling that Blizzard is working on opening the class up foe other races. It will take some time as each race needs their own forms.
I just hope that they provide a valid lore reason to go along with them.
Original humans should just have started isn Kul Tiras if they picked shaman/druid. Since playable Kul’Tirans are just… large humans. Nothing more, no magical drust blood.
Same with KT paladins, they should just start in northshire abbey.
plain people can be druids, it just happens that those people are not from stormwind.
Main reason that stormwind humans (or from the areas around them) cannot be druid is that there are no druid trainers around that teach people the druidic arts.
More or less there is no lore reason for all races to not be able to be all classes (blizzard even found ways for undead to be holy priests). It just so happens that it is pretty far up the list of weird things for a stormwind human to want to become a druid, since he has zero cultural reason to.
Druid’s will probably be the next expanded to all
Yet Stormwind is literally flooded with night eleven refugees from YEARS, and even before that and the cataclysm, there was a whole night elves district in Stormwind. It feels rather strange there isn’t even ONE Druid trainer among all those elves.
Kul’Tiran.
Idk, I don’t feel like SW humans have a culture that’s conducive to druidism.
Not that that seems to make any difference nowadays…
Is it really?
I mean if you would be a Kaldorei - refuggee or not - would you really trust the Humans of… anything?
In the eyes of a Kaldorei I think Humans are an infant race, reckless, careless, not managed to be even a One Race, instead fragmented in to different more often than not warring tribes and kingdoms without anything common, not to mention their bad habit of abusing any power and use it against each other and others including, but not limited to Arcane, Necromancy and Fel.
Would you really trust those “kids” and teach them how tap in the power of Nature after witnessing how they destroy forests, overfish and polute rivers, tear the very bones of the Earth Mother out for precius metals to make jewels and weapons to kill each other; build cities and defile nature?
Would you really give them the ability to take more from Azeroth?
Or would be very hesitant and rather would wait - you are/were immortal after all - untill Humanity matures?
I wouldn’t trust any of them to sit the right way on a toilet seat.
Haha, I totally get where you’re coming from! The Worgen’s wolf form and unique accent aren’t for everyone. As for plain humans becoming druids, it’s mostly a matter of lore within the game.
You are totally correct, there are night elf druids in the NE district. There are also NE refugees for years.
The thing is that in lore assimilation and training takes DECADES. The NE refugees and druids will be seen like “weird” and “outcasts” by the local population. It will take generations for people to be able to view the NE culture as “normal” and for curious young humans to seek druidic training. And even then by lore standpoint it will take years for them to complete their training and become druids.
So you are completely right that they are there for years now, but you are missing the point that in lore it takes way more than simple years for such a process.
Isn’t the NE already demolished their own culutre after joining the Alliance and became diurnal instead of nocturnal creatures?
Do they have any racial culture and tradtion left at all?
